Destiny 2 is getting an update today. It carries the version number 7.3.0.6, and players should expect some downtime. MeinMMO has all the times and information for you.
This is what you need to know today: To ensure a smoother gaming experience, Bungie will temporarily put the Destiny 2 universe in a state of rest today and shut down the servers.
After a long winter break, the developer is resuming fundamental improvements and optimizations with update 7.3.0.6.
As always, MeinMMO will let you know how long the downtime will last so that you know exactly when you can’t play. We will also update this article as soon as there is new information.
6:10 PM: Bungie seems to have gotten the issues under control. The rollout of the update has begun, and it is 112.4 MB. The patch notes are also available – you can find them at the end of this article and in our Weekly Reset where everything that rotates this week is listed.
5:30 PM: We have received information that the maintenance downtime has been extended. Another update on this issue will be provided within an hour.
3:15 PM: Destiny 2 has now been taken offline due to expected maintenance. Therefore, logging into the game will not be possible until the Weekly Reset.
2:00 PM: The issues with login and WEASEL error codes have been resolved. However, players should start preparing for the servers to go offline soon.
1:00 PM: Bungie just announced via X.com (formerly Twitter) that there are login issues as well as WEASEL error codes in Destiny 2. The problem is being investigated but seems to be independent of the upcoming maintenance.
Maintenance on 23.01 – All times for the server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. The servers are planned to be unreachable today for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
This is the schedule for the maintenance:
- At 2:00 PM, background maintenance will start on all platforms.
- At approximately 3:15 PM, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- During the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.0.6, allowing players on all platforms to download and install it.
- At 6:00 PM, the shooter should be back online, and you can log in again.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 8:00 PM.
Additionally, please note that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also not be functioning correctly for a while, making them unusable.
What changes with update 7.3.0.6 in season 23
This will be fixed today: With today’s update, Bungie aims to resolve the issue with the War-Mother totem fix from 7.3.0.5. This had negative effects on all totem summons in the dungeon ‘Ruins of the War-Mother’ and is therefore being reverted.
Regarding the current issue with Restoration
, Bungie stated the following:
- It is a complex bug that required a fundamental restructuring of how Restoration stores its timer data and healing strength logic. The fix was originally scheduled to go live with
The Final Shape
. However, given the postponement of the DLC release date, they are now working to bring this forward to the mid-season update.
While Bungie is still dealing with this known bug, here are the latest issues that players have reported to the developer in the Help Forum that are also to be fixed.
- Revised “Dreaming City” weapons do not count for the Cursebreaker title.
- Some Guardians cannot use the fireteam finder above Guardian rank 5.
- The tips of the Karnstein Armlets no longer glow when the perk is active.
- Guardians do not receive the correct unlock of the respective Triumphs after acquiring ritual ornaments for the sword “Gallant Fire”.
- The perk “Precision Instrument” does not deal bonus damage against Divinity bubbles.
- The Sparrow “Alpine Advance” displays the wrong speed and lacks the options Tuned/Custom Drive.
- The Shroud Spectrometer is granted to multiple characters (not just the character who completed the quest). This makes it impossible to remove it again.
- Guardians incorrectly receive a surrender pop-up when they start another activity directly from the Crucible screen after a match, instead of first returning to orbit.
- In the heist battleground map “Cryptolith” on Europa, towers may sometimes show as active even though they had previously been deactivated. However, this is only a visual issue and does not affect gameplay.
- In the heist battleground map on Europa, enemies may suddenly load when entering certain areas.
- If you open the navigator while the ghost is hacking in the heist battleground map on Mars, it incorrectly displays 2 objectives on the map.
- When using the Alt key to go to the desktop on some PCs while the game is in fullscreen mode, the screen may freeze, requiring a restart of the game.
- Guardians on Xbox One cannot join fireteams in-game unless they are in the same bubble. However, Guardians can still invite other Guardians directly through the console menu.
- Exotic weapons with unlockable crafting blueprints are shown in the collections without a red border.
- The Crucible map “Eternity” did not count towards the “The Right Path” triumph of the Flawless seal.
- Bungie is investigating a problem that causes players not to be able to participate in competitive Crucible matches after their ban in the game has expired. Guardians affected by this problem can resolve it by playing a competitive Crucible match with a different character.
- The post-match stats of a raid may incorrectly show that the damage dealt to the boss by all Guardians is 0.
- Player name changes cannot be adjusted indefinitely through bungie.net. Many players are still waiting for the return of the option to change their player name instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available”.
