You need to know this today: Just before today’s weekly reset, Bungie will release update 7.1.5.2 to optimize the gaming experience in Destiny 2. Just before the start of the third event week of the Solstice, Bungie will also bring back a much-missed option and comments on this with the words: “You all wanted it, so have fun.”

Maintenance on August 1st – All times for the server downtime
These times are important today: Today’s update will, as always, be released for all platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. According to the current plan, the scheduled downtime is expected to be 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Here’s the current schedule for today’s maintenance in Destiny 2:
- 4:00 PM: Background maintenance starts on all platforms.
- 5:15 PM: Bungie will take the servers offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- During the downtime, update 7.1.5.2 will be implemented and then gradually rolled out.
- 7:00 PM: The expected login should be possible again in time for the weekly reset.
- However, maintenance will continue to run in the background until 8:00 PM, which means you may still experience slight lags during this time.
Please also note that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be accessible for a while and therefore cannot be used.
What changes with update 7.1.5.2 in season 21
This is what the update brings today: Bungie is continually working to identify and fix known issues and bugs in Destiny 2. Therefore, the update will address some of these issues again. The focus is also on a problem that was discovered during the Solstice quest after the release of update 7.1.5.1, which causes a popup window to block quest progress when a character’s entire armor is reignited.
