On May 2nd, a scheduled maintenance will take place in Destiny 2, which will lead to a temporary server downtime. MeinMMO will tell you when, how long, and will accompany the server downtime live.
This is what you need to know today: Guardians don’t like to admit it, but the regular server downtimes of Destiny 2, with which Bungie maintains its space shooter, are a real nightmare for some.
Even if it’s often only for a few minutes, a server outage is a thorn in the side of many.
- You cannot play Destiny 2 during this time.
- Players also have no access to their characters or statistics via third-party apps.
- There is also no way to meet in-game, raid, or dive into PvP.
So, once again, a scheduled maintenance is coming up in Destiny 2, which will lead to temporary server downtime. Bungie has announced this maintenance to fix various bugs and issues in the game and to improve the overall stability of the servers.
MeinMMO, however, will remain reachable during this time and will list the German downtime periods and all known issues. Once the servers are offline, we will also report live on the server status.
7:20 PM: The update is now live. Have fun with the Guardian Games 2023. However, keep in mind, background maintenance will continue until 9:00 PM, so there may be minor outages or error codes. Plan no important challenges during this time.
7:00 PM: The servers are still offline. Stay tuned for updates.
6:20 PM: It’s time. Bungie has just kicked players from all activities. The update is being implemented now, and you will need to wait a while.
4:00 PM: The background maintenance has begun. From now on, there may be server connects and outages.
Maintenance on 02.05. – All times for server downtime
These times are important today: As always, Bungie shared the exact times via Twitter. This time, you will have to manage without Destiny 2 for 45 minutes, and the background maintenance starts earlier and ends later.
Here’s the exact schedule for the maintenance:
- At 4:00 PM German time, the maintenance works will start in the background on all platforms.
- From 6:15 PM, the servers will go offline and players will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- The update 7.0.5.2 will be rolled out on all platforms during this time and will be available for download.
- Officially, the servers will be back online around 7:00 PM.
- The ongoing background maintenance will end at 9:00 PM if everything goes smoothly. However, you can already play during this time.
Keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may also be unavailable for a while, so you cannot use them.
What changes with Hotfix 7.0.5.2 in Season 20
This is what the hotfix brings today: The Destiny player support team has been working hard for weeks to fix bugs and improve the gaming experience. So mentally blast your wrestling intro songs at full volume and enjoy the focused list of known issues.
- Audio bug continues to drive headset users in Destiny 2 crazy.
- All who have already purchased the ship “Brazen Spark” can no longer complete the quests “Last Will and Testament.”
- The armor mods “Powerful Friends” and “Radiant Light” require at least one armor charge to activate.
- Loot rewards for the Twitch extension cannot be claimed from the Cryptarch.
- Some triumphs of the Guardian Games will activate earlier than intended. For this reason, the title tab is blinking. These triumphs can be dismissed today after the start of the Guardian Games.
- In the “Sea of Shadows” Nightfall, erasing in the boss area causes some enemies and champions to respawn in a previous area, blocking platinum rewards.
- The Vexcalibur Catalyst triumph is not completing.
- When upgrading a masterwork weapon, it appears that you get +20 to the base value, while in reality, you can only get +10 to the base value.
- Using three copies of the same resistance armor mod makes no difference compared to using two copies of the same mod.
- There are reports that Radiant no longer stuns Barrier champions. Fire sprites can no longer be generated through grenade kills.
- Some players receive a “Driver Load Error (1275)” related to the BattlEye service.
- A problem prevents players from linking their Bungie accounts to the store.
- Due to this issue, the purchase deadline for the raid jacket “Root of Nightmares” will be extended until Wednesday, May 3rd at 8:59 AM.
- Name changes for players are not infinitely adjustable via bungie.net. Several “Number Guardians” are still waiting for the option to change their username again instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available.”
- Bungie is also investigating the increased occurrence of various error codes in the game.
