What you need to know today: After Bungie apologized for unplanned bans due to human error over the weekend, players can expect another typically short Tuesday maintenance today.
This means the servers will go offline for a short time this evening, and Bungie will release the planned update 6.2.0.7 online. MeinMMO will accompany you through the hotfix and continuously update this article with fresh information. So stay tuned for the latest updates.

19:10: Stabilization successful. Destiny 2 is back online. In our article about the weekly reset, you’ll find everything that awaits you this week in the game as always.
19:05: Due to increased network traffic, Destiny 2’s services are still affected. There is a queue during login until Bungie services stabilize again. Also, the API services from third parties are still not all reachable again.
19:00: The servers are back online. The new update 6.2.0.7 is 192.8 MB on PC. As soon as we have the patch notes, we will link them further down in the article.
18:45: The servers have just gone offline. From now on, if everything goes as planned, you won’t be able to log in for 15 minutes.
18:00: Bungie has started maintenance in the background. From now on, you have 45 minutes to complete your activities in Destiny 2. Then the servers will go down.
Guardians need to briefly interrupt their current pirate life in Season 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia for hotfix 6.2.0.7.
Maintenance on 04.10. – All times and server downtime
Bungie has published a detailed schedule for players, so you are prepared and know when you won’t be able to play.
These times are important today:
- At 18:00 German time, maintenance work will begin in the background on all platforms.
- From 18:45, the servers will go offline and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- Around 19:00 the servers are expected to be back online and update 6.2.0.7 will be rolled out for all platforms. You will then be able to log back in to play.
- Even if the servers are back online, maintenance officially continues until 20:00.
It is important: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in the game, there may still be connection issues until the end of maintenance at 20:00. You may also have to expect queues during login.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not function correctly for a while after the update.
What’s changing with Update 6.2.0.7 in Season 18
What the update brings today: Bungie has already listed some known bugs on the patch list. These could be fixed today in the new update 6.2.0.7.
- Loading times in the Tower have improved somewhat but are still not perfect. Players still need to avoid the H.E.L.M. to bypass this bug. While Bungie continues to investigate the issue, players suspect it could be due to the numerous uncollected reputation rank engrams at NPC vendors.
- For players who have not completed the introductory mission, incorrect wording will appear on the Season Pass for Season 18.
- The “Hidden Compartment Crew” upgrade drops rewards with 1350 power.
- The exotic helmet “Dusk Concert” is not displayed in the collection and is also not dropping in Lost Sectors anymore.
- Name changes for players are still not customizable via bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to adjust their usernames multiple times instead of just once.
- The shader “Damaged Flesh” is not applied to weapons, armor, and other items as intended.
