In Destiny 2, you can expect several hours of maintenance and planned server outages today, September 23, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. The maintenance prepares for the new hotfix 3.3.0.3. MeinMMO provides all the times and information so you can plan your day well.
What you need to know today: As already last Thursday, a new update for Destiny 2 is also being released today. Hotfix 3.3.0.3 will, however, be initiated by unusually long maintenance of 6 hours. This cements that Thursday is the new patch day in Destiny 2. An update is also scheduled for next week.
- Update 18:15: You can now log back into Destiny 2 (after loading the update). This is also confirmed by Bungie (via Twitter).
- Update 17:15: The hotfix 3.3.0.3 is now being rolled out worldwide on all platforms. The update is 230 MB on PS5.

Maintenance on 23.09. – All times for server downtime
These are the important times:
- At 14:00 German time, maintenance work will start on all platforms
- At 14:30, the servers for Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 go offline. By this time, you will be automatically removed from the game
- From 19:00, the servers are back online – hotfix 3.3.0.3 is available worldwide
- Only after you have downloaded (and copied) the update can you start playing again
- At 20:00, the 6-hour maintenance should end as scheduled
Note about the update: Even if you have downloaded the update, you may encounter connection issues until the end of maintenance around 20:00. You may have to expect queues when logging in. Also, be aware that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be functioning properly.
Bungie advises Guardians on PlayStation and Xbox to restart the console if the update is not available at the specified time. However, keep in mind that the specified times can also shift, as Bungie usually provides guideline times.
What changes with hotfix 3.3.0.3 in the Season of the Lost?
This update brings: Bungie remains silent regarding the changes. Only prior to the long server maintenance, the Destiny developer warned on September 16 (via bungie.net).
Unfortunately, there are currently several bugs in Destiny 2 that Bungie is already aware of. Here is a selection:
- The cursed exotic Telesto is reactivated
- No Horrors Minimum weapon drops with 0 power in strikes
- Numerous master mods can now also be used on master raid and master nightfall weapons – in addition to trials master weapons.
- Otherwise, these are mostly small changes.
It is also known that the recently revised (and successful) trials will come into play with some changes starting Friday:
- You will no longer see how many opponents are in matchmaking. Therefore, you can no longer deliberately avoid 3-player teams, as the counter is hidden.
- In the Trials Labs – an experimental playlist – a new mode is being tested. Here, you need to quickly capture an area that randomly changes its position in each round.
- After a resurrection, you will not have new special ammo (green).
