Today, on July 22, the new Hotfix 3.2.1.2 for Destiny 2 is being released. The update is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, as well as on PC and Google Stadia, and involves maintenance work and even server downtime. Here you can find all the information regarding patch notes and the times to keep in mind today.
Destiny 2 has reached the halfway point of the Solstice of Heroes 2021, but many Guardians are still complaining about issues in the event. Today an update is being released, which hopefully addresses the most significant frustrations of the Guardians. Unfortunately, the new Hotfix 3.2.1.2 is accompanied by server maintenance and downtime.
- Update 7:05 PM: The update 3.2.1.2 is now available on all platforms. On PlayStation 5, the hotfix is 277 MB in size.

Maintenance on July 22 – Schedule and Server Downtime
What times are important today?
- Starting from 6:00 PM German time, maintenance work will begin.
- At 6:45 PM the Destiny servers will go offline – at the latest, you will be kicked from the game at this point.
- At 7:00 PM the servers will come back online and hotfix 3.2.1.2 will be available on all platforms.
- You must download (and copy) the update and can then play Destiny 2 directly.
- The maintenance work in the background is scheduled to end around 8:00 PM.
Keep in mind: Until the maintenance is over, problems and queues may occur when logging in. If the update is not live exactly at 7:00 PM, it is completely normal. Additionally, during the maintenance period third-party applications as well as the official companion app may be limited or unavailable.
What changes does update 3.2.1.2 bring on July 22?
Just like with the patch from last Thursday (Hotfix 3.2.1.1), we surprisingly know very little about the planned changes today. This is actually atypical for Bungie, who usually provide a preview of the changes.
Since the Solstice of Heroes 2021 runs until August 3, many Guardians are hoping for fixes for the event. These issues have been acknowledged by Bungie:
- The renewed Solstice armor is marked with the “Season of the Splicer” symbol instead of the Solstice symbol.
- The weekly Solstice quest “Light and Darkness” for Gambit only records progress through elemental kills against Guardians.
- The UI for the “Prismatic Obsession” event may overlap with the UI of other objectives when multiple buffs are active for players.
- Prisma spheres do not count towards the total number of elemental spheres collected by players.
- The Solstice armor set glow from 2018 may be less intense in certain areas of the armor.
- Parts of the “Filigree of Light” ghost shell disappear when rotating the ghost shell in the inventory preview.
- There are reports that Solstice key fragments and Solstice packages have been removed from players’ inventories.
- Repeatable Solstice bounties do not display glimmer as a reward when viewed in Eva’s inventory. You still receive 10 glimmer for completing each of these repeatable bounties.
Another issue that Bungie is already aware of is the missing “new” weapons in the Dreaming City. The annoyance has now been addressed.
