Today, on April 29th, the new hotfix 3.1.1.3 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, as well as on PC and Google Stadia, is coming for Destiny 2. You can expect several hours of maintenance and a short server downtime. MeinMMO has all the times and will guide you through the update.
This is happening today: Destiny 2 will receive a new update on April 29th. The last update was nearly a month ago, and the Guardians are not used to being without their “enforced break” for so long.
- Update 7:07 PM: The hotfix is now available on all platforms. On PlayStation 5, the update is 170 MB.
The hotfix 3.1.1.3 comes with maintenance and a complete server downtime during which you cannot play. Here you will find all relevant times, and MeinMMO will update the article multiple times today, so you don’t miss any information.
Maintenance on 29.04. – All about the process and server downtime
These are the important times:
- From 5:00 PM German time, maintenance work will begin in the background
- Around 6:00 PM, Destiny servers will go offline, and you will be kicked from ongoing activities at the latest by this point
- Around 7:00 PM, the servers will come back online – Update 3.1.1.3 will be released worldwide
- Once you have downloaded (and copied) the hotfix, you can log in
- By 8:00 PM, the maintenance work should be fully completed
Don’t forget: Due to the maintenance work, there may be login issues throughout the evening. As always, third-party applications or the official companion app may only be very limited during this time.
What changes with hotfix 3.1.1.3 in Destiny 2?
Unlike usual, we cannot provide you with a detailed preview of the contents of the new patch. Bungie has not revealed anything.
However, it is very likely that some issues related to the Guardian Games will be addressed. The last event before the new season 14 runs until May 11th. We will keep you updated and add the complete patch notes as soon as they are available.
Okay, the changes are not really extensive: The “Calabrese Error” that surprised some Guardians in the Tower is supposed to be fixed. In addition, smaller issues with the Guardian Games, such as visibility issues with Titan and Warlock cosmetics, have been addressed. You can now collect bounties normally every day.
Things to keep in mind in the Guardian Games: Bungie has released an FAQ with frequently asked questions about the Guardian Games, here are the most important details.
- Wear your Guardian Games class item to generate glory and progress in all Guardian Games bounties.
- Guardian Games class items from 2020 (“Shattered Rivalry” cloak, “Mighty Rivalry” emblem, and “Wise Rivalry” ring) do not generate glory and do not progress in Guardian Games bounties.
- No glory drops in Gambit or the Crucible; they are directly awarded to players instead.
- Dropped glory does not go to the postmaster. They must be collected to count.
- If the medal case is full, medals earned through triumphs will be lost.
- In the step of the Exotic “Heritage” quest, where you have to collect glory, only glory picked up from the ground counts.
- Players cannot submit medals obtained in the Tower after they have already submitted medals of the same rarity. Players can then return to orbit and fly back to the Tower to submit those medals.
- Certain shaders mistakenly remove the glow for Warlocks from the universal Guardian Games ornaments.
