Destiny 2 gets the update 3.1.1.1 today, on 03/23, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, as well as on PC and Google Stadia. This comes with maintenance work and a brief server downtime. Find out all the important times and changes here.
What’s in store with the new update? After Bungie already released Update 3.1.1 a week ago, which fixed numerous issues and bugs, they are now sending a hotfix.
In this, the developers continue to work on the game and address additional problem areas. The update 3.1.1.1 also includes various changes for Stasis.
The new update is now live and can be downloaded. On PS5, the patch is just under 240 MB.
Update 7:15 PM: The official patch notes for update 3.1.1.1 are now available. You can find them further down in the article.
Update 6:40 PM: The maintenance has just been extended by 2 hours. Another downtime is not planned, but there may be error codes and connection drops during this time.
The patch notes are still awaited but are apparently set to arrive soon.
Maintenance on 03/23 – Everything about the process and server downtime
These are the important times today:
- Maintenance work is set to start at 5:00 PM German time
- 5:45 PM the downtime begins, and the servers go offline. Players will be kicked from their activities and will not be able to log back in for the time being.
- At 6:00 PM the servers will come back online, and update 3.1.1.1 will be available
- After loading the new hotfix, you will be able to log in to Destiny 2 again
- If everything goes as planned, maintenance should be completely finished by 7:00 PM.
Note: Until the end at 7:00 PM, there may be login issues or queues. Also, the communicated times are not set in stone. Particularly the rollout of the update may take a few minutes longer. Furthermore, third-party applications or even the official companion app may be completely unavailable or only have limited functionality during maintenance.
What changes with Update 3.1.1.1 for Destiny 2?
Bungie has already provided an initial look at the changes from hotfix 3.1.1.1. The focus is again on bug fixes as well as numerous changes for Stasis powers.

By the way, after the update, the March Iron Banner begins today and a brand new strike comes into play – but not for everyone.
