BToday, on December 14th, a new update for Destiny 2 is coming on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. Hotfix 3.0.1.2 addresses issues and buffs a Stasis class. However, there will also be a server downtime and maintenance. You can get the most important times and info here on MeinMMO.
What’s happening today? Players of Destiny 2 have to slowly say goodbye to the fact that updates and maintenance only happen on Tuesdays in Beyond Light . Today, on Monday, December 14th, a new hotfix and server downtime is scheduled.
Update 6:10 PM: The hotfix 3.0.12 is now live on all platforms. On PS4, it carries the version number 2.07 and is 168 MB in size.
We at MeinMMO are, as usual, keeping track of the important times and updating the article throughout the day so you don’t miss anything.
Today, Warlocks can rejoice over a buff. Disruptive issues on Xbox and PlayStation will be addressed. To directly benefit from the buffs for the Warlock, here’s a wicked build:
Maintenance on December 14th – Everything about the procedure and server downtime
These times are important today:
- Maintenance work will start on all platforms around 5:00 PM.
- From 5:45 PM the servers will be offline. You will be kicked from all activities and the downtime will begin.
- At around 6:00 PM, the servers will come back online and hotfix 3.0.1.2 will roll out worldwide.
- Once you have downloaded (and copied) the update, you can play Destiny 2 again.
- Maintenance is scheduled to end at 7:00 PM.
It’s important: Even if you have downloaded the update, you may experience connection issues until the maintenance is over. You might have to expect queues when logging in. Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and also the official companion app may not be functioning correctly. If you are already using the app’s latest feature: collecting bounties from NPCs via smartphone – don’t be surprised.
What’s changing with Update 3.0.1.2 in Beyond Light
What the hotfix brings: You shouldn’t expect significant changes like in the last update when Destiny 2 received its next-gen upgrade on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Bungie has already released a preview of the changes (via Bungie.net):
- The Stasis Warlock receives a buff: The range of the melee attack “Penumbral Blast” is increased by 37%. Additionally, the minimum distance for ranged melee attacks is reduced by 32% – you can be closer to an enemy and still toss your iceball.
- Players on PS4 have problems seeing and assembling their friends list and fireteam – this will be fixed today.
- The annoying freeze during login on Xbox Series X/S is expected to be fixed.

- The Kryptolith lure from Season 12, with which you start Wrathborn hunts, has been made more accessible.
- The nasty trick that allowed the exotic sword The Lament could hit without ammunition is fixed.
- The emote that could deceive even raid bosses has been “nerfed”.
If you are one of the players who have problems with frame rate or stuttering on consoles, you should go into the settings and reset everything to default in “Video” (Bungie via Twitter)
