An update on Thursday? You read that right. Today, Destiny 2 has an update on the agenda. Even though updates usually come out on Tuesdays, the Hotfix 2.9.0.1 is waiting to be downloaded on June 18th.
The update is now live on all platforms. On the PS4, it has version number 1.53 and is just over 200 MB in size.
After the update, players should finally be able to run and sprint properly again. Additionally, an Exotic has been nerfed, the Trials are supposed to reward players correctly again, and a change has been made to one of the prestigious titles.
This is how maintenance will proceed today
The new hotfix is initiated by several hours of downtime. Guardians must take a forced break in Destiny 2 and Destiny 1.
These times are important today:
- The maintenance work will start as scheduled at 16:00
- At 16:45, the Destiny servers will go offline, and downtime will begin
- The server downtime is expected to end at 19:00. Now the release of Update 2.9.0.1 will start on all platforms and in all regions
- From 19:01, it should be possible to log in to Destiny 2 and get started again
- The maintenance is expected to completely end by 21:00
Important info: Until maintenance is completely finished at 21:00, there may be queues and login issues in Destiny 2. Also, the features of the apps and API interfaces may only work partially.
