For Destiny 2 has released a new update today, February 11, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia – the hotfix 2.7.1.1. Along with this, there are maintenance works, and the servers were down for a while. Here you will find everything important regarding the maintenance process today as well as the patch notes.
Update 8 PM: Currently, there is an emergency maintenance for Destiny 2. You can find all the information about it here.
Today, February 11, the traditional Valentine’s Day event “The Crimson Days” starts in Destiny 2. However, before you can participate in the festival of love and wreak havoc in the Crucible with your best buddy, Destiny 2 will receive a new update.
The new update is already live and will be downloaded in-game after logging in. On the PS4, it is 5.82 MB in size. After that, you can finally get started – the servers are back online.
The schedule for today’s maintenance
The following times are important today: If everything goes according to plan, the downtime should be short today. Nevertheless, you will not be able to play Destiny 2 for a while.
- The maintenance begins at 5:00 PM German time. Already then, login issues may occur, according to Bungie.
- At 5:45 PM, all Guardians will be removed from their activities, and the servers will go offline.
- At 6:00 PM, the servers should come back online. Bungie will also begin the release of hotfix 2.7.1.1 – across all platforms and in all regions.
- By 8:00 PM, the maintenance works should be completely finished, provided there are no issues.
What changes today with hotfix 2.7.1.1?
What’s in the new update? First of all, today’s patch is likely to activate the Valentine’s Day event – probably the last major content of the ongoing Season 9. The Crimson Days will last until the weekly reset on February 18.
Additionally, Bungie intends to address some minor issues with the hotfix. Therefore, the new update 2.7.1.1 should not be too large. Among other things, it is intended to
- enable the Triumph “Efrideet’s Gift” retroactively for all players who redeemed 50 Iron Banner packages in Season 9.
- ensure that the progress of the quest “Get Closer” will no longer reset when you reset your Infamy rank. This also applies retroactively. As a result, this quest will be automatically completed for all who managed it in Season 9 over the Mythic rank.
- add a new Season 9 triumph for the Iron Banner that counts the purchased packages from Lord Saladin. Here too, the progress will be counted retroactively.
However, whether Bungie will make any further changes will likely only be revealed by the patch notes.
Patch Notes for Destiny 2 Update 2.7.1.1
What about patch notes? You will receive a detailed list of all adjustments in the form of the official patch notes. These are already available for the new hotfix 2.7.1.1 even before the rollout of the update and can be viewed now.
Since the patch notes are not yet available in German, we have first linked the original English change log for you:
By the way, the recently discovered glitch that gives the Dawnblade Warlock essentially an infinite super will not be fixed by the update 2.7.1.1.
