These times are important today: Bungie has also communicated the schedule for today’s patch day:
- The maintenance will begin at 5:00 PM German time. From then on, some API functions on the Bungie homepage, the official companion app, and third-party providers will no longer work.
- At 5:45 PM, the Destiny 2 servers will go offline.
- At 6:00 PM, the servers will come back online. The release of update 2.7.1 will begin on all platforms and in all regions.
- By 8:00 PM, the maintenance should end as planned. By then, the API services should be fully available again.
Keep in mind that there may be login issues until maintenance is fully completed (that is, until 8:00 PM).
What changes today with update 2.7.1 / 1.46 in Destiny 2?
What about new content? Aside from the originally planned release of the weapon exotic Bastion on January 28, no further new content is officially planned for today in the context of season 9.
Since this new weapon has already been made available earlier and Bungie has also brought a major riddle into the game at the same time, it is unlikely that another surprise will be announced today. Do not expect any new content.
The community manager dmg04 has also emphasized on Twitter that today only minor fixes are being made.

- Issues with some exotics like “Worm God’s Caress” or “Winter’s Guile” will be resolved, which have already been disabled as a result.
- It will become easier to obtain the rare bounties of the “Black Armory” .
