Destiny 2 received the new update 2.7.0.1 today, on December 17th, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. In this context, there will be maintenance accompanied by server downtime. Read here everything important about the course of the maintenance work as well as the patch notes.
In Destiny 2, the winter event “The Dawning” starts this evening, December 17th, the Winter Event “The Dawning”. But before you can dedicate yourselves to the festive celebrations in the Tower, an update must first be installed, and there will be server downtime. The patch is already live and can be downloaded. On PS4, the update is version number 1.45 and is about 144 MB in size.
Course of Maintenance and Server Downtime on December 17th in Destiny 2
These times are important today: If everything goes according to plan, the maintenance for Destiny 2 will last about 3 hours. The servers should only be offline for 15 minutes in the meantime.
- The maintenance begins today at 5:00 PM German time.
- The downtime is then scheduled to start at 5:45 PM. Players will be removed from all in-game activities, and the servers will be shut down. No logins will be possible.
- At 6:00 PM, the servers are expected to come back online. Bungie will then begin releasing update 2.7.0.1 on all platforms and in all regions.
- The maintenance is expected to end today at 8:00 PM.
Note that: Until the end of the maintenance, there may be login issues and queues during sign-in.
What Changes Today with Update 2.7.0.1 / 1.45 in Destiny 2?
The new patch today will start the Dawning event in Destiny 2. What else will change? Unfortunately, there have not been any further details from Bungie on this.
However, it is quite possible that one or the other bug fix is included. Destiny 2 started the new Season 9 with a lot of problems and errors – whether it is overpowered mods, irregularities in ritual weapon quests, a way too strong exotic bow or various other annoying bugs.
It is therefore likely that as part of the new update, several errors in the game will also be fixed – especially since some of them have already been communicated before the start of Season 9, but according to Bungie should only be fixed with a later update (after update 2.7.0).
