In Destiny 2 was released today, on July 9th, for all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) the new update 2.5.1.1. Here’s everything you need to know about the maintenance work, server downtime, and the patch notes.
Today, some fresh content from the Season 7 is starting in Destiny 2. But before you can get started, there’s a new update. The patch is now live and can be downloaded. On PS4, the update has version number 1.37 and is approximately 380 MB in size.
What changes with update 2.5.1.1 / 1.37 in Destiny 2?
Bungie hasn’t revealed much about this yet. What is known so far is the following:
Some Guardians speculate that for example the overpowered exotic shotgun “Lord of Wolves” could be adjusted today or that Bungie might address the incompatibility of Destiny 2 with the new Ryzen 3000 processors on PC.
A complete list of all changes will likely only be available with the patch notes sometime later today.
Destiny 2: All about maintenance, downtimes and server downtime on July 9th.
Bungie is evidently not fully out of holiday mode after July 4th, as the studio has only recently released the schedule for today’s maintenance. Previously, there were only some brief updates on Twitter.
Now the exact schedule is finally known. The new Destiny update today will be accompanied by maintenance work. There will also be a brief server downtime.
This is what we know about the maintenance on July 9th:
- The maintenance work is set to begin at 6:00 PM German time.
- At 6:45 PM, all Guardians will be removed from their activities and will no longer be able to log in. The servers will go offline.
- At 7:00 PM, the servers will be brought back online, if everything goes according to plan. The update 2.5.1.1 will then be rolled out on all platforms. After downloading the update, you should be able to play again, even if there may still be login issues.
- By 9:00 PM, the maintenance work should be completely finished.
Patch notes for update 2.5.1.1 / 1.37 for Destiny 2
