Today there are maintenance works on Destiny 2. Furthermore, a hotfix has been deployed – the update 2.5.0.3. Here you can learn all about the course of the maintenance, the server downtime, as well as the patch notes.
UPDATE – Issues with Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN): The update is now live. However, currently many PlayStation players are unable to download the update, as the PSN has been facing massive server issues since 9 PM.
What you should note today: As Bungie has informed via Twitter, there will be several hours of maintenance on the servers of Destiny 2 this evening, June 13th. In this context, a hotfix in the form of update 2.5.0.3 will also be deployed.
What changes with today’s update? There is no precise information about this. However, it is suspected that Bungie might fix some annoying bugs or exploits that have crept into the game with the start of Season 7.
For example
- the chest exploit in the Menagerie, which allows you to loot the chest multiple times after the final boss, thus obtaining powerful loot with the chalice multiple times
- Issues some players encounter during the Truth quest (with Corsair down) or the possible shortening of certain quest steps
- the reset of the treasure chests on the Calus barge. These were reset once again last Sunday. However, this was not intended. The reset is supposed to take place on Tuesdays but is now on Sundays. According to community manager dmg04, this is to be fixed in a future update – possibly with today’s hotfix
Destiny 2: All about maintenance, downtimes, and server downtimes on June 13th.
If everything goes according to plan, the servers should remain online throughout the maintenance work – a downtime is not planned. However, you will probably still have to briefly interrupt your gaming experience. Bungie recommends restarting the game after downloading and installing the update.

7:00 PM:
- Beginning of maintenance work
10:00 PM:
- The release of update 2.5.0.3 begins on all platforms and in all regions
12:00 AM:
- Expected end of maintenance
Patch notes for update 2.5.0.3 for Destiny 2
The official patch notes are now available. Here are the most important changes:
- A bug in the “A Royal Summons” quest has been fixed that could prevent progress
- A bug has been fixed where the “Assistant” perk of the Storm did not reload energy weapons
- Display bug of Eververse armor has been fixed
- A bug has been fixed where seasonal Eververse armor could have random rolls
