Update 2.2.1 marks the start of Arc Week: The update 2.2.1 brings not only numerous improvements and adjustments to the game but also Arc Week.

However, before the Guardians can rain lightning down on their enemies, maintenance and the update itself are coming up.
The update 2.2.1 is now live and can be downloaded. On PS4, the patch is version 1.34 and is approximately 803 MB in size.
What changes with the new update 2.2.1 / 1.34 for Destiny 2
The following is coming to players today: In addition to Arc Week, numerous other changes are being introduced – including updates to the sandbox, rare cosmetic items, and the new weapons of Season 6.

Destiny 2: Everything about maintenance, downtimes, and server downtimes on April 09
If everything goes according to plan, there should be no downtimes during today’s maintenance, and the servers are expected to remain online continuously. You should only need to briefly interrupt your gaming experience for the download and installation of update 2.2.1.
This is the official schedule for the maintenance on April 9:
6:00 PM:
- Expected start of maintenance on the Destiny 2 servers
- Update 2.2.1 will be released on all platforms and in all regions
- The companion app features will be disabled. You will not be able to use them on the web, mobile devices, or third-party services
10:00 PM:
- Expected end of maintenance
- All players who have not yet installed the new update will be removed from their respective game activities and returned to the Destiny 2 login screen
10:15 PM:
- The companion app features should now be fully usable everywhere again
For console players, Bungie adds: If there are issues updating to version 2.2.1, please reset your console and try downloading the update again.
This does not mean resetting to factory settings. Simply disconnect your console from power for about a minute (PS4), or hold the power button on the console (Xbox One) for a bit longer until it shuts down, then restart it.
