In Destiny 2, two maintenances will be conducted next week. These prepare for update 1.1.3, which brings some new features and bug fixes.
On February 27, Bungie will deploy update 1.1.3. This represents the second of four milestones on the roadmap for Spring 2018, which lists important endgame updates.
Before the update along with the changes can be deployed, two maintenance sessions are necessary. Here are the preliminary time indications:
Maintenance on Monday, February 26
- This is a backend maintenance. Bungie is working behind the scenes on the servers to prepare for 1.1.3. There is no downtime planned.
- However, between 7 PM and 9 PM, there may be server issues. Maintenance will take place during this time. Disconnections are possible.

Maintenance on Tuesday, February 27
During the maintenance on Tuesday, the servers will go offline. Additionally, update 1.1.3 will be deployed.
- At 5 PM our time, preparations will begin. You will not be able to log in.
- At 6 PM the servers will shut down. If you are still in the game now, you will be roughly kicked. From now on, update 1.1.3 should be available for download.
- At 7 PM the servers should be back online. The maintenance is therefore relatively short. However, bear in mind that Bungie never strictly adheres to these time indications.
What changes with update 1.1.3?
The main new features of update 1.1.3 are already known. Additionally, Bungie has now shared a few bug fixes that will be addressed simultaneously.
The main new features of 1.1.3
- Nightfall scoring and high-score tracking: In the Nightfall strike, the time limitation will be replaced by a strike scoring.
- There will be an initial version of Prestige Nightfall strike challenge cards.
- Revamping of badges for destination, crucible, and nightfall. You can read more about the “new” badges and auras here.
- Your team members will be displayed on the deployment card.
- A public text chat will be coming to PC.
- In the companion app, you can interact with mods and shaders

Bug fixes with 1.1.3 – Preview
The following bug fixes are merely a preview – they are not complete:
- A bug will be fixed where players could come outside the intended play area with the Phoenix Dive ability.
- A bug will be fixed where players could receive a loss in the trials of the Nine when opponents left multiple matches in a row.
- The crucible helm ornament will now also increase in unlock progress for wins in “Trials of the Nine” in addition to competitive match wins.
- Projectiles from “The Colony” will now correctly track enemies when the frame rate on PC is set above 30 FPS.
Bungie will release the complete patch notes when the update is available. We will report on it.
