Today, on July 31, 2018, there was another update for Destiny 2. The hotfix 1.2.3.1 is the last hurdle before the Solstice of Heroes. All players must install this hotfix before they can join the celebration starting at 7:00 PM.

First the work, then the pleasure: The patch 1.2.3.1 is mainly intended to activate the Solstice event. Therefore, anyone wishing to participate in the festivities must first install this update.
The Solstice of Heroes begins
Destiny 2 celebrates the end of its first year: After downloading and installing the update, the Solstice of Heroes begins tonight, July 31, at 7:00 PM with the Weekly Reset.
With this seasonal summer festival, Bungie is wrapping up the first year of Destiny 2 before launching the Forsaken expansion on September 4, signaling the start of the second year.
During this summer event, Guardians will celebrate their past achievements and accomplishments in Destiny 2. Numerous new rewards such as Sparrows or event armors with a power level of 400 can be earned.
The Moments of Triumph can also be continued: Additionally, players can finally complete the Triumph Moments from Year 1. Some Triumphs will only become active now with the summer festival.
The Solstice event ends with the Weekly Reset on August 28, 2018, at 7:00 PM.
Some important information about the Solstice festival:
- Players should ensure they have really received the Triumph from the Guardian Statue before they want to complete it. Some Triumphs may need to be completed again if the Triumph is not in the player’s inventory at the time of its completion.
- Triumph Moments count character adventures and region chests that have been most completed and found. Account-wide progress will not be taken into account. Players who have issues achieving these two Triumphs are recommended to play with the character that has made the most progress for these Triumphs.
- Progress on Triumphs and event rewards may be lost if players delete a character on their account. It’s best not to delete any characters until all desired rewards have been obtained and the Solstice of Heroes concludes on August 28, 2018.
Destiny 2: Maintenance, Downtime, Server Downtimes on 31.7.
Maintenance without server downs: As soon as hotfix 1.2.3.1 is available for download and installation, maintenance work will also take place today, Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
No downtime is expected unless in emergencies. This means there is no server down. You will only need to interrupt your gameplay to download and install the new update. After that, you should be able to continue playing normally.
