Since shortly after 6:00 PM, the update 1.2.1 for Destiny 2 can be downloaded and installed. Bungie has now released the patch notes for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The update 1.2.1 for Destiny 2 is now live. The patch size varies between 680.8 and 717.4 MB depending on the platform and must be downloaded and installed for you to play Destiny 2 again. As no server downtimes are planned, you should be able to play again right after installing the update.

- Mechanic Trick Sleeves
- If you are critically wounded and switch to a sidearm, it will deal more damage (2x in PvE, 1.33x in PvP).
- The Shadow of the Dragon
- Dodge now reloads all weapons simultaneously.
- Additionally, dodge now grants +5 Mobility for the duration of “Ghost Metal Chainmail,” in addition to the existing benefits.
- A UI display for the “Ghost Metal Chainmail” buff has been added.
Titan
- Unyielding Lion
- Hip fire no longer interrupts hovering. Increased hip fire precision while airborne.
- Synthoceps
- If surrounded by three or more enemies, you receive a melee damage bonus for 8 seconds (3x in PvE, 2x in PvP).
- This buff also increases Super damage while active (+50%).
Warlock
- Lunafaction Boots
- Your Rift now permanently reloads weapons while you and your allies stand in it.
- “Empowering Rift” now grants increased range and aim assist.
- Solar Arms
- Solar melee hits now grant unlimited Solar grenade energy for a short time.

- The “Pulse Monitor” perk has been replaced with “Fixer Pull”.

- A problem has been fixed where players lost rank points when leaving the match too quickly after match end.
- A storage issue has been resolved where PC players with low texture quality constantly received BEET or KALE errors when loading into 6v6 Iron Banner.
- The 3+ minute space flights observed by players when loading into 6v6 Iron Banner, triggered by the BEET and KALE errors, have been fixed.
Public Events
- A bug has been fixed that prevented players from triggering heroic public events “War Satellite Disabled” because Shriekers closed too quickly.
Strikes
- “Exodus Crash” has been removed from player search for Heroic Strikes.
- A bug has been fixed where players could jump in mid-strike but then got stuck behind a door in the “Exodus Crash” strike.
- A bug has been fixed where there was no progress on Heroic Strike milestones and quests due to Vanguard bounties.
- A bug has been fixed where players repeatedly got stuck when joining allies in the “Sea of Shadows” strike.
- A points modifier display has been added to the item detail screen of the Nightfall challenge cards.
- You now receive Escalation Protocol key fragments in Heroic Strikes.
- In Heroic Strikes, there is now a chance (~25%) to receive powerful engrams up to 360 Power.
Raid
- A bug has been fixed where activating a one-use super did not consume super energy when you just caught the “Starlock” relic.
- The time-out explosion damage of the “Starlock” relic has been changed to now also damage targets.
- The Raid vendor now has a specific performance after completing “Starlock”.
- A bug has been fixed where Calus’ shield was more resilient than intended.
- The guide play tooltip has been updated to properly display the required power level at the start.
- The “Robes of Sekriss” (Warlock raid chest piece) now displays the draping fabric correctly.
- The price for “Starlock” rewards from Benedict 99-40 has been increased to 50 tokens.
- Benedict 99-40’s reputation engram no longer grants weapons.
Warmind Campaign
- A bug has been fixed where some enemies in the “Pilgrimage” mission granted more XP than intended.

- A bug has been fixed where players saw a permanent pointer over Tess when they had a Prisma Facet in their character inventory.
- A bug has been fixed where the Prisma Matrix icon did not indicate that there were new items.
- A bug has been fixed where the Prisma Matrix icon did not glow when players had a Prisma Facet in their character inventory.
Clans
Rewards
- The clan XP milestone now correctly grants powerful rewards when submitted.
- Some players repeatedly received a clan banner. This should be fixed, so players can safely remove clan banners at the post office now.
Emotes
General
- A problem has been resolved where some players who have the “Salute” emote could not use it.
- The “Revive the Warmind” emote is no longer displayed after it has been interrupted.
- The subtitle now appears in the emote preview.
