In Destiny 2, the update 1.08 / 1.0.5 is live. Here are the patch notes, this is what changes today.
Today, on Thursday, October 19th, Bungie is conducting maintenance work. At around 6:15 PM, a new update was deployed, which you need to download and install to continue playing Destiny 2.
This patch is officially the hotfix 1.0.5, and on consoles, the update is labeled version 1.08. The update is 431.7 MB in size. Bungie states that you may need to start it manually. Choose the option “Check for updates”.

A raid issue is fixed, but not the one expected
The update 1.08 focuses primarily on the raid keys. It was previously possible for the keys to be wrongly removed from the inventory. Affected Guardians then had no chance to access the loot until the next weekly reset.
This is what today’s update changes:
- The keys will no longer be removed from the inventory at the weekly reset. This is intended to prevent accidental key losses:
- Raid keys will no longer be removed when creating a new character.
- Raid keys will no longer be removed when you log in with another character for the first time after the weekly reset.
In other words, from now on you should definitely have your keys in your inventory until you redeem them.
Additional changes:
- After certain super attacks, the kinetic weapon was always equipped. This issue has now been resolved.
- Additionally, a problem has been fixed that prevented waypoints from being set for some chests in Nessus scout reports.
- Furthermore, there are some adjustments to the companion app. The ability to search for clans by name (iOS, Web) is now available, and display errors for milestones are fixed.
Actually, many players assumed that Bungie would fix the Calus exploit in the Leviathan raid today. However, there is no mention of this in the patch notes. Since Bungie has already announced that an update will be necessary for this, we can expect that another update will likely be deployed in the near future.
