In Destiny 2, the update 1.03 is live. This brings a ton of new features – including the Guide Games Beta. Here are the patch notes for 1.03.
Last night, on September 12th, many Guardians nearly went crazy. Bungie conducted maintenance, causing the Destiny 2 servers to be offline for several hours.
But that’s not all: Bungie had to extend the maintenance twice due to complications and “new issues”. Overall, the servers were down from 5 PM to 11 PM – ruining the evening for many.
However, the maintenance brought the update 1.03, officially named “Hotfix 1.0.1.2”. This has brought numerous improvements and new features. We summarize the changes.
Patch Notes 1.03 – Clan Overview available, issue with MIDA Mini-Tool resolved
The following changes are mentioned in the official patch notes:
- The Clan Overview with the list of all Clan members is now displayed in the game.
- The issue where some players did not receive the MIDA Mini-Tool when they had a full weapon inventory has been resolved. They can now pick up the missing weapon from Devrim Kay in the EDZ.
- A rare issue that could lead to crashes has been fixed.
Guide Games are now active, hate symbol removed
There are more new features that took place on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday:
- Yesterday, Bungie mentioned that a “hate symbol” was found on gloves in the game, which they want to remove as soon as possible. The image has now been removed from the “shared game world”. So it shouldn’t be visible when you run around in the game with it. However, it continues to be displayed during inspection or on the item symbol. A hotfix is planned for next week to remove this completely.
- If you are suffering from Cabbage errors, Bungie has published a solution approach.
- A problem was encountered where players did not receive the Prestige Nightfall Aura. If you have already completed the Prestige Nightfall, you can earn the aura again only next week after the weekly reset.
The Guide Games are live – but only with a ticket
In addition, the Guide Games Beta is live. This means that Clan members can now form a fireteam to guide solo Guardians through a Nightfall strike.
- However, not all solo Guardians can participate. You need a Guide Games Beta Ticket, which you find in your post office – or not. Bungie does not specify the criteria for how these tickets were distributed or whether the distribution was completely random.
- All clans, however, are eligible to act as guides in Guide Games.
- The beta is set to last until September 26th. After that, Guide Games will be activated for all Guardians for the raid and the Nightfall strike.
- To start a Guide Game, select the orange symbol next to the Nightfall strike. A power level of 240 is required. Click on it. You can now choose the mode, whether you are a seeker (single player) or a guide (clan). As a guide, the queue is currently one minute, as a single player about 4 minutes (this changes over time).
In other words, there are currently significantly more single players than available guide clans. Bungie expects this to balance out in the coming weeks as more Guardians join clans.
