Do we have to leave all our Guardians behind when Destiny 2 comes knocking at the door? Or will we tackle future adventures with our experienced characters?
Unfortunately, we still do not have an answer to these questions. A year and a half ago, it was said that players could keep their Guardians forever, and that they wouldn’t have to create a new character through expansions and sequels. However, there are legitimate doubts that this statement is still applicable.
Last week, Activision confirmed on the conference call that a “full Destiny sequel” will be released in autumn 2017. Months ago, there were talks of “shattering changes,” and rumors are circulating that we may slowly say goodbye to our current characters in the coming months. However, there is no official confirmation for this “line in the sand.”

You see that there is no uniform opinion on this issue. 43% of you want a fresh start, 49% say: I want to keep my Guardian! In other words: No matter what the future brings, many players will be disappointed by Bungie’s decision – but many will also rejoice.
