The Destiny 2 expansion Forsaken has raised the maximum power level of characters to 600. Players have now compiled how you can quickly level up your other Guardians if you already have one character at max level on Reddit.
The first major expansion for Destiny 2, Forsaken, has brought a lot of new content to the game. This has led many players to prefer playing only one class. If this is the case for you and your “main” has already reached the maximum level, these tips will help you quickly bring your other classes to power level 600 as well.
How to quickly get your other characters to max
What is it about? Players have compiled some tips on Reddit on how to quickly level up your other Guardians to the new power level of 600. The guide is aimed at players who already have one character at max level and want to catch up their other Guardians as quickly as possible.
How to level up your characters: A large part of the “leveling” can be done conveniently from the menu. This should allow you to bring your remaining characters up to about level 577 to 580.
- Obtain the ordinary, white submachine gun Sorrow MG2 from the collection with your highest Guardian and transfer it to the character you want to level. The weapon is obtained in the second mission of the Destiny 2 campaign. Since Sorrow MG2 has no level restriction, it should already give the character a significant boost in power level.
- Your character to be leveled should complete or have already completed the Destiny 2 campaign; the DLCs Curse of Osiris and Warmind are optional.
- Complete the Forsaken campaign with the character you are leveling and bring him to level 50.
- Now Xur comes into play: Buy an exotic item for your character to be leveled with your max-level character and transfer the item along with your highest weapons to the Guardian you want to level.
- Equip the items with your character to be leveled and now go into your collection in the game.
- Under “Armor” and “Leveling”, get the blue armor for your class, equip it, and repeat the process. The armor scales with your power level and should give you a small boost in level each time.
Continue with the endgame: After a while, the blue armor will no longer provide leveling advantages. According to the Destiny subreddit, you will then be around power level 577 to 580. You can either jump straight into the Raid “Last Wish” or grind milestones that give you powerful gear.
Leveling tips: Some players on Reddit advise against using the Sorrow MG2 weapon while leveling. In their opinion, it should only be used when you need high DPS, for example, in fights against the Barons in Forsaken.
Because of the weapon’s higher power level, many items will drop during leveling that have a level restriction and that you cannot equip yet. Other players swear by this, as you will then already have enough high-level weapons and armor stored for a later point in time.
