In Destiny 2 The Moments of Triumph for 2020 will be starting soon. We summarize what is known so far and what players can expect.
When do the Moments of Triumph start? The Moments of Triumph for 2020, also known as the Moments of Triumph, will start on July 7 as part of Season 11. An official end date is not yet known. However, the data suggests it will end on September 22, which is also the release date for the major expansion “Beyond Light”.
What are the Moments of Triumph all about? The Moments of Triumph are a type of long event, or rather a series of specific challenges (triumphs) that players are meant to accomplish across the entire game over an extended period. This leads to unique rewards.
With these so-called Moments of Triumph, Bungie reflects with players on the highlights of the respective expiring Destiny year and celebrates their heroic deeds – just as it will in 2020.
This is what we know so far about the Moments of Triumph 2020
How exactly do the Moments of Triumph work? Officially, apart from the fact that the Moments of Triumph 2020 will start tomorrow, July 7, nothing at all is known. As when introducing Season 11, Bungie is apparently keeping information under wraps until the last moment.
However, a look into the data from Destiny 2 thankfully gives clues about what Guardians can expect – at least in part.
This year there will also be a whole series of triumphs, united under the new seal “Moments of Triumph 2020”. In total, there are 30 this year. Last year there were only 20.
4 of them can already be completed and apparently count retroactively, 5 are tied to the ongoing season of arrival. And 21 of them are still completely secret. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the event-specific rewards yet. However, expect that there will be a corresponding new title again.
By the way, anyone can participate – regardless of optional additional content for the base game. However, not all triumphs can be unlocked without the optional content.
The following triumphs are already known: 10 of them are already visible. One of them is still classified, but it exists for the successful completion of all other triumphs within the Moments of Triumph 2020. Here are the other 9:
- Season of Arrivals – Valor Legend: Reach the Valor rank Legend in Season 11 and reset your Valor rank 5 times.
- Gambit Standout: Give up 250 Light particles during the Season of Arrival and eliminate 150 enemies in Gambit with precision final blows.
- K1 Discovered: Complete all 4 Lost Sectors on the Moon and loot the final chest there.
- Altars of Sorrow – Final Phase: Defeat a nightmare boss of level 5.
- Garden of Salvation: Complete the raid “Garden of Salvation”.
- Destroyer of Heretics: Complete the dungeon Pit of Heresy.
- Prophecy Complete: Complete the dungeon “Prophecy”.
- Interference – Clear the Air: Defeat Savathûn’s mysterious helper in the mission “Interference”. This likely refers to the hidden boss Nokris, which has already been discovered early by some guardians.

What else is coming? Additionally, there will be 20 more triumphs to complete. Although these are not yet known, there is sure to be plenty to do.
Furthermore, it is also assumed that some of these triumphs, like last year, will be tied to the Summer Event Solstice of Heroes and cannot be completed immediately after the start of the Moments of Triumph.
