Destiny 2 is celebrating the end of the year and offers diligent players many achievements and rewards to unlock during the Moments of Triumph 2020.
What are Moments of Triumph in Destiny 2? In the Destiny universe, it is a tradition to end the current year with the Moments of Triumph. For players, this means reflecting on past activities and earning rewards.
The event and many rewards are available to all Guardians, but those who want to collect everything will need content such as Shadowkeep or the current season pass.
This year the festivities are special because for the first time in the history of Destiny 2, we bid farewell (for now) in grand style to known content:
Duration of the event: The Moments of Triumph 2020 have been active since June 7 and run until September 22. A look at the Season 11 roadmap also reveals that the Solstice of Heroes will take place on August 11 and will join the Moments of Triumph.
You still have more than two months before the Moments of Triumph end and the next big Destiny chapter starts with “Beyond Light“.
Rewards and Prizes during the Moments of Triumph 2020
How to unlock rewards: To unlock rewards, you must complete special challenges. These are found under the “Triumphs” tab and are listed on the bottom left as “Seals”.
If you have completed the task listed there, you can activate the corresponding Triumph and claim the reward (not all Triumphs grant a reward). Some of the tasks even count retroactively. For example, you don’t need to achieve 5 rank resets in PvP if you have already played Crucible diligently.
In total, there are 28 individual Triumphs waiting to be mastered. Those who really want to complete everything should roll up their sleeves. Because on the agenda are, among other things, raid visits, excursions into dungeons, or collecting all Exotic weapons from Season 11.
As of now, not all Triumphs are available; more will be added with the Solstice of Heroes.
These rewards you can snag in Destiny 2: The prizes from the Moments of Triumph are divided into two types: In-game rewards and unlocks for the Bungie Store.
This is available in-game:
- “Praise on Praise” emblem – Complete 1 Triumph – which one does not matter
- Exotic Sparrow “Resurrection Flight” – Complete a total of 5 Triumphs – which does not matter
- Exotic Ghost Shell “Awakened Shell” – Complete a total of 10 Triumphs – which does not matter
- Completing the Leviathan Raid grants you the exotic “Aspirant Shell” for your Ghost as well as specific raid shaders
- Completing the World Eater Raid tract grants you specific raid shaders
- Completing the Star’s Gate Raid tract grants you the exotic emote “Luxurious Toast” as well as specific raid shaders
- Completing the raid Crown of Sorrow grants you specific raid shaders
- Completing the Scourge of the Past Raid grants you a specific raid shader
- Destroy all 50 Eyes of Savathûn and receive the resource Altered Element (150)
- Complete the Dungeon Pit of Heresy and receive the emblem “Bloodred Static”
The secret Triumphs mostly revolve around the soon-to-start Solstice of Heroes and the associated armors.
If you master all 28 Triumphs, you can adorn yourself with the title “MMXX”. This title will no longer be available after the event.
What you need to know about the Store unlocks: 5 Triumphs allow you to unlock or purchase certain items in the Bungie Store. Included are also two emblems that cost you no cent.
Official information about the store and profile linking can be found on Bungie’s website, which we have linked here.
This is waiting for you in the Bungie Store:
- Exclusive emblem “Sunset” – Unlock the code as soon as you have 12,500 Triumph points on your profile
- Exclusive emblem “Darkened Sunset” – Unlock the code as soon as you have 50,000 Triumph points on your profile
- Custom Moments of Triumph shirt – requires 15 completed Triumphs
- Exclusive raid ring – Requires completion of the 5 raids mentioned above
- MMXX Seal (Medallion) – Requires the in-game title “MMXX”
Like the other rewards, these items will disappear with the end of the Moments of Triumph 2020.
