Cayde-6 has new treasure maps available in Destiny 2. We will show you the locations of the treasures on Io!
Once you have completed the story of Destiny 2, you can go on a treasure hunt. Because then Cayde-6 will bring you new treasure maps with each weekly reset, showing the locations of hidden chests.
The treasure maps will lead you to a different one of the four worlds each week. This time it’s Io. Buy the treasure maps for 4800 Glimmer each and off you go!
There can be a variety of different items in the hiding spots, from mods and emblems to blue and legendary items, as well as exotic engrams! Sometimes there are also strange things like journal entries that you can hand in to Cayde-6.
Treasure Locations on Io
Once you have bought a treasure map, the treasure will be displayed on the Io map with a pick symbol. This is what the symbols look like: You cannot mark the locations – which means you can only see the approximate location. Once you are there, you have to search for it yourself.
On Io, there is one treasure near the Pyramidion, one is between the Rift and the Lost Oasis, two are near “The Giant’s Scar,” and one is at the Ghost Mines.

- 0:29 – Treasure 1 (Left by the Rift, near Pyramidion)
- 1:05 – Treasure 2 (Left of the Lost Oasis)
- 1:42 – Treasure 3 (Ghost Mines)
- 2:50 – Treasure 4 (The Giant’s Scar left)
- 3:11 – Treasure 5 (The Giant’s Scar right)
