With Forsaken, Destiny 2 is supposed to become a hobby again. Lore and collectibles are returning, and Guardians can earn titles by completing special triumphs.
In the last ViDoc, Bungie gave a glimpse of what players can expect with the upcoming expansion Forsaken in Destiny 2. It was briefly mentioned that Guardians can hunt for special titles that will be displayed under their names in the game world, similar to World of Warcraft. Some of these titles are also said to require a substantial amount of work.

Guardians can adorn themselves with various titles in Forsaken
Titles as prestige objects: As described in the ViDoc, there are currently not many titles. However, the ones that exist are said to be very time-intensive. Titles are unlocked by completing triumph sets, which are newly added to the Guardians’ menu alongside the collectibles.
The video shows the title “Chronicler”, for which players must complete all lore triumphs. This triumph consists of several books that are filled like the Grimoire from Destiny 1 by defeating enemies and finding collectibles.
Guardians could showcase titles: Like in other games, such as World of Warcraft, players can display their earned titles. Selected titles will be shown in the game world under the players’ names.
Collectibles as a hobby: With Forsaken, Destiny 2 is supposed to become a hobby again. Players have often complained that the base game lacked collectibles and had little lore to discover. Triumphs and titles are a way to keep players engaged once they have reached the endgame.
Would titles be something you would chase? Or would you prefer gear or items for completing triumphs?
