In the Combat livestream, Bungie showcased some new features aimed at refreshing the Crucible in Destiny 2 with the upcoming expansion. PvP will change with Forsaken.
In their Combat livestream, Bungie’s developers focused entirely on the upcoming changes to weapons, armor, and slots. As a special highlight, the developers participated in two matches in the Crucible to showcase not only the weapons and new Supers, but also to discuss the upcoming changes with Forsaken.

These changes await players in PvP
PvP will be faster with Forsaken: The PvP modes in Destiny 2 seem to be getting closer to the predecessor with the upcoming expansion. Among other things, the popular Three-Tap hand cannons from Destiny 1 are set to return and the Time-to-Kill is being lowered for virtually everything in the Crucible.
These changes affect the classes in the Crucible:
- The Nightstalker Hunter’s Super will become faster and more reliable
- Solar Hunters will deal more damage with their throwing knives and receive an additional two seconds for their Super
- Stormcaller Warlocks will be pleased with a damage buff
- The Warlock Rifts will also be strengthened. The Healing Rift will restore more health to counteract the reduced Time-to-Kill. The Empowering Rift will now also boost precision damage in PvP
- The Titan’s Bubble might once again become an alternative to the Captain America shield with Forsaken: The Titan’s Dome is expected to last longer and provide increased melee damage to the Titan and allies within the Bubble
- Grenade damage will also be increased. However, they will still not be instant kills

These changes are coming to the Crucible in general:
- Two melee hits in a row will once again eliminate your opponent
- The Titan’s shoulder charge will knock opponents out with one hit
- Three-Tap hand cannons are returning (two body shots and one headshot)
- The new weapon category, bows, will ideally need only two shots for a kill in the Crucible: one body shot and one critical hit
- The allocation of special ammo is being changed and defeated opponents will drop ammo in PvP
More highlights from the Combat stream:
- What weapon mods and the masterpiece system can do in Forsaken
- With Forsaken, the 10th Better Devils becomes interesting in Destiny 2
- In Destiny 2, ammo and weapon type determine weapon slots
