We present PvE builds for Destiny 2 that bring powerful and explosive possibilities through a new mechanic in Season 10, capable of clearing entire rooms full of enemies with just one hit.
What are these builds? The builds in this article fully utilize the new and powerful Warmind cells. They are essentially bombs that have never been seen before in the Destiny universe and are underestimated by many Guardians.
Everything about the function of Warmind cells can be found in our guide to the explosive Seventh Seraph weapons:
The best builds with Warmind cells for Warlock, Titan, and Hunter
We will introduce the builds for all 3 classes of Destiny 2 one by one. First, we will list the required gear, exotics, subclasses, and mods along with their locations. Afterwards, we will give you tips for playing the explosive PvE builds.
All three builds greatly benefit from the seasonal artifact of Season 10, use the Arc classes, and are focused on melee combat.
Bomb Build for the Warlock
What you need for the build:
- Subclass: Stormcaller – Control Supremacy (mid Arc tree)
- Exotic armor: Felwinter’s Helm
- Weapons: Monte Carlo
- Mods: Tyrant’s Wave (artifact), Global Reach (Seraph Tower event)
There is still much room for fine-tuning and personalization in the build. Depending on your preferences, you can choose for more team support or better cooldowns and add your personal touch.
This is how you play the build: The build fully relies on Ball Lightning, your melee attack with amazing range. With each hit from the Arc Strike, a powerful Warmind Cell is guaranteed to appear, which has a significantly increased explosion radius. With your exotic helm “Felwinter’s Lie,” all enemies in the vicinity are suppressed upon melee kills and receive a debuff of 30%.
With the exotic auto rifle “Monte Carlo,” kills quickly recharge your melee. It fits like a glove: The exotic adds the maximum extra damage after just one melee kill. Additionally, the subclass fully charges with ability energy with every kill.
If you encounter an enemy who does not immediately die from the combination of weakening, a massive explosion, and melee, activate the Stormcaller and cancel it immediately. This way, your super should be ready as an emergency solution after a short time.
Bomb Build for the Titan
What you need for the build:
- Subclass: Fist of Havoc – Code of the Missile (mid Arc tree)
- Exotic armor: One-Eyed Mask
- Weapons: The Fourth Horseman and preferably weapons with “Daredevil”
- Mods: Tyrant’s Wave (artifact), Thundercoil (artifact), Warmind Protection (Seraph Tower event)
It is also possible to play the Juggernaut build with the same combination. However, the mid Arc tree offers much more fun with its “Superman feeling” while achieving the same results.
This is how you play the build: You sprint into enemy hordes with the build and blow up enemy formations with your area melee attack. The exotic helm “One-Eyed Mask” immediately fully charges the Arc melee on a kill. Thanks to the mods, Arc hits deal 50% extra damage and guarantee the spawning of a Warmind Cell.
With your abilities and equipment, you regain full health upon kills and also have additional damage resistance in melee. Your super conveniently charges very quickly with melee hits.
You heat up bosses and majors with your super or “Shattering Strike” and your exotic shotgun “The Fourth Horseman.” The ability allows you to reload weapons by sliding over ammo and buff them by 20%. With an always reloaded and enhanced exotic shotgun, even the strongest enemies will have no chance.
Bomb Build for the Hunter
What you need for the build:
- Subclass: Way of the Warrior – Arcstrider (top Arc tree)
- Exotic armor: Handshake of the Liar
- Weapons: “Double Punch” shotgun and preferably weapons with “Daredevil”
- Mods: Tyrant’s Wave (artifact), Thundercoil (artifact), Warmind Protection (Seraph Tower event)
In its base form, this build has existed for a while in Destiny 2, but with the new possibilities of Season 10, the Hunter becomes even more dangerous and efficient.
This is how you play the build: With this build, your melee attack gains extra damage and other bonuses from multiple sources. Both your two exotics, your subclass, and the mods provide additional and especially stackable impact. Meanwhile, you heal with every kill after a hit and are equipped with damage resistance.
Additionally, your class ability (dodge) fits perfectly into the synergy, as it gives you more melee range and energy. Conveniently, the enhanced melee kills constantly recharge the dodge.
Bosses and majors basically have nothing to counter your combination of double-punch shotgun and melee. With the new Warmind cells, you can now clear entire rooms of weaker adds with an explosion. Previously, the quick elimination of many small enemies was the only weakness of the melee build for the Hunter in earlier seasons.
