What is the Loot Cave about? There was also a cave in Destiny located in the Cosmodrome where a lot of loot could be farmed in a relatively short time and with little effort. Players have found such a cave again in Destiny 2 Beyond Light.
The loot cave was also located in the Cosmodrome on Earth, but in a different area – namely “The Rift”. There, players could stand in front of the cave, keep a bit of distance, and just shoot away.

What has changed? With the new update 3.0.0.4, the developers of Destiny 2 have put an end to the loot cave. Here’s what it says in the patch notes:
- A problem was fixed where enemies appeared continuously during certain activities in the Cosmodrome.
- NOTE: This should solve an issue where hordes of Guardians gathered in the Rift and shot into a cave-like structure.
Thus, the dream of this loot cave in “The Rift” has come to an end for now.
Players are already searching for the next Loot Cave
How are players reacting? The new loot cave was particularly suitable for nostalgic players and those who have not yet reached power level 1,200.
Those who have already fully entered the endgame could benefit little from this fun glitch. Accordingly, the uproar after the fix was quite small.
However, there are some clever players who are already on the lookout for a new spot.
Where could the next Loot Cave be located? The reddit user Sanches319 has already found a first similar spot on the western side of Asterion Abyss in Europe.
There, a HVT Minotaur appears irregularly. As long as it is alive, many Harpies will spawn that can be defeated and looted. However, this spot has the disadvantage that the Minotaur appears only rarely and can also be killed.
But perhaps other players will find a better spot in the coming days.
Besides those searching for new loot caves, there are also players who enjoy solving mysteries. For 2 years they have been working on a mystery, but now they have been disappointed.
