Since the launch of Episode: Echos in Destiny 2, there is a new coveted target for Guardians: exotic class items. A player shared an efficient farming method with the community on Reddit.
What is the player farming? Since Episode: Echos started, Guardians can find and farm new powerful items in the form of exotic class items.
These items are exotic in nature and fit in the class slot. InvadingBacon
, a player, shared his method for farming exotic class items on Reddit.
One class item every 15 minutes
How does the player proceed? First, he equipped the combo finder on his Ghost. Then he went to the section in the Bleached Heart of the Traveler and completed the toppling event until he reached the boss. At this point, he left the boss because the event did not need to be continued.
Next, he quickly traveled back to the section. Once he arrived there, he went to the far right corner of the area into the cave section. There he waited for about 10-15 seconds. During this time, the screen pulsed, indicating that the chests in this area had spawned.
He then followed the prescribed path to circle the map and collect the chests. Starting from his point in the cave, he essentially made an 8 around the map and collected the chests. The chests appeared in random locations, but by frequently applying the method, he reportedly learned their spawn positions and became even more efficient.
After circling the map and collecting up to 4 or 5 Hive chests, he quickly traveled back to the section and repeated the process. This method yielded him about one class item every 15 minutes.
Community reactions: The community has reacted very mixed on Reddit to the post. Some seem to have great success with the same method, while others have had relatively little success. Some players then suggest that it also has a lot to do with luck how well this method works.

I tried it and did not get any class items until the 90th chest.
- Exodus180 notes on Reddit:
I did this twice for a little over an hour. I only got one class item.

The RNG is weird. I did this for 3 hours last night and got 8. Today it took me 1 hour and I got 4. On average about 20 minutes or so. My buddy tried it for a couple of hours and got 1. It’s all a matter of luck.
