What are the Wings of the Vigilance? The Wings of the Vigilance are an exotic pulse rifle in the distinctive Osiris look. This weapon is carried in the Kinetic slot. This exotic weapon was exempted from the overhaul and already had a large fan base, which grew even more after the pulse rifle buff as part of a sandbox update.
What makes this pulse rifle so special? With its exotic perk “Hard Truths,” the weapon can perform a 5-round burst. If a nearby ally is killed, the shooter receives health regeneration and increased movement speed. Additionally, the Wings grant the bearer enhanced weapon performance and significantly increased recovery when they are the last living member of a fireteam.
How do you get the Wings? There are several possible sources for this exotic weapon:
- You can receive it as a random drop from all sources that can drop exotic engrams
- Xur: Sometimes the Agent of the Nine has this weapon on hand
How do you get the exotic catalyst and what can the masterpiece version do?
- Source: drops randomly after victories in the Crucible
- Upgrade Effect: “Fully Automatic Trigger System” perk: While holding the fire button, the weapon fires automatically
What is this exotic weapon best for? The Wings clearly excel in PvP, as evidenced by the perks. There, their rapid rate of fire, 5-round burst, and good handling make them a top choice. With the fully automatic mode as a masterpiece variant, the weapon becomes even more efficient.
Until the strengthening of the Graviton Lance, the Wings of the Vigilance were a stable presence in the kinetic slot for many PvP fans. However, even now, it remains one of the few weapons that can still hold its ground against the Lance in direct duels. It’s no wonder this pulse rifle frequently ranks in the top 3 of Trials weapons.
However, in PvE there are much better exotic alternatives.
