What is D.A.R.C.I.? The D.A.R.C.I. is an exotic sniper rifle and is therefore held in the Power slot. Before its overhaul, this exotic sniper rifle was gathering dust in most fans’ vaults or served as a source for Legendary Shards. With its almost meaningless perks, it was one of the biggest flops among the weapon exotics.
However, after both sniper rifles in general and D.A.R.C.I. received a solid buff, this sniper has morphed into a DPS monster.
What makes this sniper rifle so special? The exotic perk “Personal Assistant” displays the target’s health and other important info when aiming at an opponent through the scope. When Personal Assistant is active, it also improves aim assist, and the weapon deals significantly more precision damage once the target is acquired.
How do you get this sniper? There are several possible sources for this exotic weapon:
- You can receive it as a random drop from all sources that can drop exotic engrams
- Xur: Sometimes the Agent of the Nine has this weapon on hand

- Source: drops randomly from any Humanity enemies
- Upgrade Effect: Stability +20
What is this exotic weapon best for? D.A.R.C.I. shines especially in fights against Yellow-Bars and numerous strike and raid bosses at medium to long distances. Over time, it has one of the highest damage outputs of all Power weapons. With damage buffs and the elimination of reload time (through Warlock Lunafaction boots), this already strong sniper becomes an even bigger monster. A top choice for almost every boss.
However, it sees almost no use in PvP.
