In Destiny 2, the weapon loot pool is being revamped. MeinMMO shows you which 30 legendary weapons will soon be available as rewards everywhere and which 5 are particularly worth it.
What is changing? In the upcoming Season 11 (June 2020), the content of World Drops in Destiny 2 is set to change. This refers to things like engrams and loot that you receive as rewards in all activities, that can occur all over the world.
In the TWaB post from May 21, Bungie announced that they want to keep World Drops fresh and interesting for the current meta. For this reason, the pool of weapons will be refined and revamped each season. The rotation will also adjust to the controversial weapon retirement.
Other aspects of loot are also set to change soon:
In Season 11, you can expect a total of 30 weapons as World Drops. Some of these were previously only obtainable in special activities like the Crucible or Gambit, or the Reckoning. In this article, you will find a list of all those weapons and an editorial selection of the top five weapons.
The 5 best weapons from the new loot pool
MeinMMO has looked at the list of potential rewards and recommends 5 of the weapons that should be particularly worthwhile next month.
1. Recommendation – Hunger
The 600 RPM automatic rifle Hunger benefits significantly from recent buffs to fully automatic firearms. Previously, this beast was difficult to grind and should be a welcome addition as a World Drop.
Focus on these perks:
- Slot 1: Tap the Trigger or Surplus
- Slot 2: Multikill Clip or Rampage
This way, Hunger transforms into a damage monster that can easily blast hordes of enemies and remains reloaded or is very precise for PvP.
2. Recommendation – Dark Promise
The hand cannon Dark Promise was a faction weapon during the early days of Destiny and then disappeared from the game for a long time. Recently, the revolver made its return and shines with its intrinsic handling boost, excellent aim assist, and elegant appearance.
Focus on these perks:
- Slot 1: Zen Moment
- Slot 2: Quickdraw or Snapshot Sights
This way, you can either increase damage multiple times or compensate for the range disadvantage very well. The generally good handling is noticeably improved by Zen Moment and as connoisseurs say, “snappy.”
3. Recommendation – Last Hope
The pistol Last Hope has long been considered a kind of insider tip in PvP and is becoming increasingly popular. Even rushing shotgun berserkers can be countered in no time.
Focus on these perks:
- Slot 1: Snapshot Sights or Zen Moment
- Slot 2: Tap the Trigger
This configuration pushes your range beyond the normal pistol level or allows you to have your melee protection at hand even faster. Tap the Trigger turns pistols into precise lasers and triggers on every shot.
4. Recommendation – Interference VI
The heavy grenade launcher Interference VI has long been considered lost and recently celebrated its return. Since the changes to the launcher category, this DPS monster with smart grenades offers a real alternative to well-known counterparts like Wendigo GL3 or Crow.
Focus on these perks:
- Slot 1: Field Prep or Clown Cartridge
- Slot 2: Accessory or Specialist
Thanks to these perks, bosses have little to laugh about. Faster reloads, larger reserves or an overcharged magazine along with extra damage at distance can do wonders even in a raid.
5. Recommendation – Steel Sybil Z-14
The Crucible sword impresses not only with its sharp appearance but also especially in tough PvE content. Thanks to the revision of swords, the strongest enemies succumb to the blade.
Focus on these perks:
- Slot 1: Unrelenting Hits
- Slot 2: Whirlwind Blade
When you charge into enemies with this selection, you can slice non-stop, always receive ammunition back, and cause even more damage with your furious strikes – even raid boss Riven cannot withstand.
