With Verse 8, you get a pulse rifle. It’s called Infinite Ways 8, has a fire rate of 450 and elemental damage. Reload speed, handling, and aim assist (76) are strong, but the range is low.
Here are the stats:
The Perks:
Dragonfly:Precise kills create an elemental damage explosion.
You can choose between:
Alloy Magazine: Increased reload speed when the magazine is empty
Enhanced Rounds: Increased range
Drop Mag: The magazine is ejected when reloading. This wastes ammunition, but significantly increases reload speed
You also have the choice between Arrowhead Brake, Rifled Barrel, and Polygonal Rifling.
The optimal time-to-kill is 1.3 seconds, requiring 10 critical hits. This means you need to land 3.3 volleys to the enemy’s head.
The great advantage of Infinite Ways 8 lies in the Dragonfly perk – after all, it’s quite satisfying when the enemy explodes after a precision kill. The Dragonfly is especially useful in PvE.
The stats are also impressive. You can counteract the low range with Enhanced Rounds.
Pulse rifles are not currently the measure of all things, but if you want to play with this weapon type, Infinite Ways 8 definitely counts among the best pulse rifles.
