Update 7:37 PM: The event did not start on time at 7 PM, as originally thought. Guardians are reacting as usual with impatience over the delay.
But something is supposed to happen: Community Manager Cozmo wrote at 7:18 PM our time: “A Warmind is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.”
This could mean something like “Stay tuned, it’s starting soon.” But Bungie’s ways are once again inscrutable.
As US journalist Paul Tassi says, he has been informed that the event is starting – it’s just slow. Players should not close Destiny 2 (via twitter).

You shouldn’t miss this: Tonight there is a true novelty at Destiny 2. The ongoing Season 10 is in its final days and for the finale, Bungie has apparently come up with something very special this time.
All Guardians are invited to participate in a live event – the first of its kind in Destiny 2. Bungie wants to apparently stage the end of the current season spectacularly and visibly for everyone in the style of Fortnite.
What’s that about? It appears that the great seasonal threat – the massive, crashing Cabal fleet ship – will finally be destroyed.
This has been put on a collision course with Earth by the nasty space turtles and is currently right before the impact. Throughout the season, we tried to prevent this catastrophe with the help of Zavala, Ana Bray, and the War Mind Rasputin.
Meanwhile, thanks to us, Rasputin has regained his old power and will likely help us avert disaster at the last moment today.
When does it start? It is supposed to start today, June 6, at 7:00 PM German time – with the daily reset.
How long the event will last and how it will unfold in detail is still unknown – nor is it known how players will be involved.
However, it has already been speculated that we might only be watching: Destiny 2: Will we only be spectators at the grand finale of Season 10?
You should note: Bungie says that you should gather in the Tower, the large social space, for this. Whether the event will also be visible from other locations on Earth is not known.
Furthermore, the studio announced that it is not a problem if you are already in the Tower before the live event starts. You do not have to leave the instance and enter again for the event to start for you – it should start on time that way. So don’t waste any time, or you might miss something.
So fly into the Tower some time beforehand, especially since the maximum number of players in this instance is limited. Then you can wait calmly for the upcoming spectacle.
