In Destiny 2 soon comes the expansion Beyond Light. We show you 13 weapons for PvE that will let you start the DLC without worries and that are also relevant in the endgame.
On November 10, the Guardians will set off in the expansion Beyond Light to save the universe once again. To ensure you’re well-prepared, MeinMMO presents strong weapons that you should acquire by then.
Because many of the powerful guns are no longer easily obtainable starting with the DLC.
What kind of weapons can you find here? The Destiny expert Fallout Plays has compiled a list of 13 weapons (via YouTube). Included are both Exotics and legendary guns. He has made sure that the weapons can be targeted or are easy to obtain, remain relevant for the endgame next year, and pack a punch.
Get these Exotics before Destiny 2: Beyond Light
Exotic weapons and armor are characterized by the fact that they are not affected by sunsetting. Also, you don’t have to rely on your God roll luck. Once you obtain the weapon, you always have access to fixed perks with Exotics.
All 8 Exotics on this list can be specifically obtained through a quest or certain activity.
1. Xenophage
Why this weapon is so good: The heavy machine gun Xenophage is the comfortable weapon of Destiny 2 and is usable in all situations. Even against the toughest raid bosses, you can deal high damage effortlessly.
- You also have virtually unlimited range.
- The heavy impacts trigger explosions that deal area damage.
- You don’t have to and can’t land crits – no matter where you hit the enemy, you deal the same damage.
How to get the Exotic: To get your hands on this must-have Exotic, you must complete the longer quest “The Journey”. This takes you to the Moon and into the dungeon Pit of Heresy.

2. Divinity
Why this weapon is so good: The trace rifle Divinity is one of the most unusual weapons in Destiny 2. If you use it, your whole team will thank you.
- Divinity weakens enemies through fire.
- Thus, you and your allies deal 25% extra damage to the enemy.
- The massive magazine allows for continuous fire with 194 shots.
- Continuous fire also creates a field around enemies that essentially acts as a huge crit hitbox – every hit on the field counts as a headshot.
How to get the Exotic: You secure Divinity through the quest line “Divine Fragmentation”. However, you’ll also need to take detours into the raid Garden of Salvation – the weapon won’t be handed to you.
- However, you can find a detailed guide here: How to solve the new quest for the raid Exotic Divinity
3. Anarchy
Why this weapon is so good: The grenade launcher Anarchy has been one of the best weapons you can equip in the power slot for years.
- The crazy Fallen tool fires sticky grenades.
- The grenades chain arc damage to each other.
- This allows you to set traps or fire multiple charges at a boss – the boss will then be shocked continuously and take heavy damage.
- Pros switch to another gun after 2 sticky grenades, dealing damage with 2 weapons simultaneously.
How to get the Exotic: This Exotic can only be found in a raid – but it will be the last raid Exotic on this list, promised. The grenade launcher awaits you after completing the “Scourge of the Past”.
The drop chances after the boss have been significantly increased and until Beyond Light there is no farming limit in old raids – so grab it.

4. Witherhoard
Why this weapon is so good: The grenade launcher Witherhoard uses special ammunition and has been one of the most used PvE weapons since its introduction in Season 11. And for good reason:
- You fire toxic projectiles that sap enemies for damage over time.
- Or you can poison an entire area and damage anyone who enters it.
- You can deal high damage to an enemy using both methods simultaneously.
- Similar to Anarchy, you can switch weapons and increase DPS output.
- Oh yeah, enemies who die from poison will infect their nearby allies.
How to get the Exotic: Obtaining Witherhoard is very simple. You just need to claim it from your current season pass. Free2Play players receive it at rank 35, while paying users of the Season of Arrival receive it at rank 1 for free.
You can also earn an exotic masterwork catalyst for the grenade launcher, granting you the perk “Auto-Loading Holster” on top.
On the next page, you’ll find more Exotics that should not be missing from any collection and will serve you well on Europa.
