Destiny 2 now boasts a curious achievement. After several failed attempts, a streamer and his team managed to complete a flawless run of the special kind in the Vault of Glass. He himself completed this raid on a Sparrow.
Special raid challenge for a good cause: On June 14, Destiny streamer Leopard participated in the traditional charity marathon as part of the Gaming Community Expo (GCX) 2021. With a charity block in his own stream, he raised funds to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Leopard came up with an idea for a special challenge in the latest raid of Destiny 2, the Vault of Glass, which he wanted to use to entertain his viewers. He planned to complete the raid flawlessly, meaning without any team member dying, while also racing through the raid on a Sparrow.

Here’s how it went: During the charity stream, the team was unable to complete this challenge despite several attempts. But Leopard and his team did not give up. After the charity block, they wanted to give it one last try for the day – and as often happens when it’s said “Okay, this is the real last attempt”, it actually worked out.
The team opened the gate and fought through the raid encounter by encounter. Leopard mostly stayed out of the fights and usually placed a barricade for his Titan to protect himself and hide behind with his Sparrow. Because not dying – that’s already challenging enough on a Sparrow in numerous passages. Especially during the jumping segments before the Templar area, in the deep gorge that follows, and at the disappearing platforms just before the boss room, it became very tight again, but this time the streamer narrowly escaped death each time.
The team also impressively mastered the boss part, with not a single Guardian perishing, and Leopard succeeded with his vehicle. You can see a summary of how it all went down in this video:
What’s so special about it? In the fights, one can still stay out of things with the Sparrow, occasionally dismounting and placing a barricade. However, with the Guardian vehicle, the challenges do not lie with enemies or bosses (providing you have a good raid team), but with the architecture. Particularly in the jumping and agility passages, it quickly became clear that they are actually designed for agile Guardians and not for bulky Sparrows.
At several points, not every Guardian can always reliably land on a ledge, platform, or edge. On a Sparrow, this becomes even more challenging. But Leopard did not let initial difficulties deter him from mastering the Vault of Glass flawlessly on a Sparrow.
