In Destiny 2, Bungie has used an emote based on a famous internet meme, the “This is fine” meme. And that is absolutely okay for the creator of the image.
What is this image? The “This is fine” comic shows a comically drawn dog sitting in a burning room and drinking something that looks like coffee.
While he says:
- “This is fine.”
- “I am okay with the way things are developing at the moment.”
- “It’s okay – things will remain okay.”
While the dog says this, he is engulfed by flames and his face melts away.

Where does the image come from? The image comes from January 2013 and is from a webcomic series by K.C. Green.
How is the meme used? People use it to mock others who, in their opinion, do not react appropriately to a critical situation.
The meme is often used to make fun of soothing “PR” language.

This is what the meme looks like in Destiny 2: In Destiny 2, the emote is called “Nothing is wrong” – in German “Alles ist gut.”
A Guardian sits at a table that then erupts in flames. The emote is part of the new content in the Eververse of the Season 5 in Destiny 2 and has only been known for a few days.
This is what the creator says about its use in Destiny 2: KC Green has no problem with the emote in Destiny 2. He says on Twitter, people have asked him if he is getting paid for it.
Green says: “It’s a reference – it’s a parody. That’s nice. I really don’t think it’s a problem.” Green further states, “I didn’t animate that. Whoever animated it should get paid for it.”
Generally, K.C. Green is relaxed when his images are posted on social media. That is everyone’s right. However, he also has limits to his tolerance. When the Republican Party used the meme to mock their opponents, the Democrats, Green expressed his displeasure.
But everything is okay with Destiny 2.
