In just a few days, the 2nd expansion “Warmind” for Destiny 2 will be released. This includes, among other things, a new raid lair for the Leviathan raid. Bungie has now announced when the new raid will go live. We tell you what we know so far about the Spire of Stars. When does it start? Where is the raid? And what loot can the Guardians expect?
On May 8, 2018, the Warmind DLC for Destiny 2 will be released. Just a few days later, Guardians can already fight through the new raid lair “Spire of Stars”.
Start of the 2nd raid lair – What is known so far?

Start: The new raid lair “Spire of Stars” will be available to players on Friday, May 11, starting at 7:00 PM.
Location: While not much is known about the location of the new raid lair, the official image and the English designation “Spire of Stars” suggest that the raid will likely take place at the high spire on the back of the Leviathan, surrounded by star-like objects.

Rewards: No official statement has yet been made about the rewards. However, a concept artist from Bungie posted some concept images some time ago that could now be introduced as rewards for the new raid lair.

Among other things, a fusion rifle and a sidearm were shown. These are referred to as “D2 Curse of Osiris raid weapons,” but neither weapon has yet made its way into the game – neither in the Leviathan raid itself nor in the Eater of Worlds lair.
Furthermore, both cases involve weapon types that are still missing from the Leviathan raid’s loot pool. Additionally, the first raid lair also introduced 2 new weapons – a shotgun and a grenade launcher. In this context, it does not seem unreasonable that a sidearm and a fusion rifle could now follow.
Power Level: Daniel Auchenpaugh, the reward designer for Destiny 2, recently confirmed that the loot from the Leviathan raid as well as the Eater of Worlds lair can drop up to a power level of 380 with the release of DLC II. This will make it possible to reach the new power level cap only by playing through the old raid parts.
The new raid lair “Spire of Stars” is therefore not a strict requirement to reach the new maximum power level. Additionally, the power level requirement for the previous raid parts will not be increased, so that players who do not purchase DLC II will not be excluded from the paid raid content, as was initially the case with Curse of Osiris.
Are you already looking forward to the new raid lair and will you be starting right on Friday?
