Thanks to a glitch in Destiny 2, players can currently secure triple loot from a quest. However, this only works if they haven’t progressed too far.
What is this glitch? A player on reddit pointed out a bug in his post that can yield three times the loot from the new Iron Banner quest.
In the quest, you need to get 25 kills with auto rifles and 25 kills with hand cannons. As a reward, you will receive the weapons “The Forward Path” and “The Fool’s Redemption”.
This usually only works once per account. We don’t want to go into too much detail about the glitch, but players found out that you can secure triple drops by activating the quest on multiple characters before completing it.
Players moving too fast
This is unusual: It seems to work only if you haven’t completed the quest before. Otherwise, the auto rifle and hand cannon go into the loot pool and can only be farmed with difficulty. Slower players who are not yet done with the quest might actually benefit from this.
What’s the benefit? If someone wants to get a good version of both weapons, they can slightly increase their chances. Both can roll with the new perks “Iron Grip” and “Iron Reach”.
The Iron Banner runs until next Tuesday, but it returns every month. So there are still plenty of chances for loot.

If you haven’t completed the quest yet, you can secure a few good weapons. You can level them up at least until the “weapon retirement” phase, which has recently caused a stir especially regarding armor.
