In Destiny 2, Shadowkeep brings a new armor in Vex style for your Guardians. Check it out here.
This armor is about: Already in the gameplay trailer from gamescom 2019 for Destiny 2 Shadowkeep observant Guardians could spot a new armor with a striking look. For a brief moment, a Titan appeared in the shot, boxing a Knight – wearing this armor:
The Titan wears a helmet adorned with a glowing red “Vex Eye.” The rest of the armor also resembles the Vex due to its metallic, robotic appearance.
Meanwhile, the complete design of the Vex armor for all Guardian classes has appeared on the official Bungie site for Shadowkeep. Here it is:
- The Titan has the Vex Eye, a horn on the helmet, and two metallic wings on the back.
- The Hunter in the middle features three glowing red eyes. Notably, he does not wear a cool Hunter cape over his head, making him appear relatively bare.
- The Warlock does not have a typical Vex Eye on his helmet but rather a glowing stripe.
The Vex are nasty robot aliens that Guardians have been combating since the launch of Destiny 1. This is what they look like:
This Vex armor is well received
Here are the first reactions from the community: A user on reddit writes: “Damn, the new Vex armor is awesome,” and he receives hundreds of upvotes.
Many are excited that there is finally a new armor inspired by enemy races.
Additionally, there are some amusing remarks about the armors – especially regarding the Hunter and the Titan:
- The Titan looks like a mix between a jet and a unicorn
- and the Hunter looks almost like a Titan – while others find it great that the Hunter also gets a cape without a hood.
Moreover, it is mentioned that a very similar armor was already seen in the last ViDoc:
The look is not completely identical. However, the matching elements have been highlighted. There is speculation that this could be an ornament for the Vex armor.
What’s the deal with the Vex armor? In the upcoming Season 8, there will be an invasion of the Vex. Thematically, this armor fits into that.
