Destiny 2 is offline today, on November 16, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. The downtime affects Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 and will address a few backend issues. As always, find the key times and information on MeinMMO.
What you need to know today: Bungie has announced several downtimes of the servers in the TWaB from November 4 in advance for November. The maintenance today is a longer backend maintenance and a preparation for the release on December 7, 2021. Currently, nothing significant is expected to change for players.

Maintenance on 16.11. – All times and server down
These times are important today:
- At 14:00 CET, maintenance will start on all platforms.
- From 14:45, the servers will be offline. You will be kicked from all activities and the downtime will begin.
- Around 18:00, the servers will be back online.
- The ongoing maintenance for Destiny 1 and 2 will be completed by 19:00.
17:15: Maintenance has been extended by one hour to 18:00.
17:45: Maintenance is expected to be completed around 19:00.
18:00: The servers are back available, no download is necessary. You can start playing directly, even if the maintenance is still running in the background.
19:00: The ongoing maintenance running in the background has been extended by two hours to 21:00. There may be disconnections.
21:00: Maintenance has officially ended.
What is important: You may need to expect queues when logging in. Also, please note that third-party applications and the official companion app are not accessible correctly.
Currently, no changes are planned

Currently known issues in Destiny 2
According to TWaB, there are still a few known issues that Bungie will address soon. Furthermore, players are still expecting additional downtime until the big release on December 7.
These errors are currently known:
- The shader “Wild Overgrowth” is not available for players who completed the Iron Banner quest with all characters before the fix to resolve the issue was released.
- If players start the quest “Lost Lament” with one character and complete it with another character, Banshee still tries to give the first character the broken blade to complete a quest that no longer exists.
- If Warlocks perform a Phoenix Dive, they cannot glide for 5 seconds.
