In Destiny 2, the second hotfix for Season 19 is coming. The servers will go offline today, January 18, for hotfix 6.3.0.4 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. MyMMO will accompany the server downtime and tell you when you can’t play.
What you need to know today: The servers will be taken offline for a brief downtime today. Bungie is working on addressing current issues step by step. We will keep you updated and list what changes are expected in Destiny 2.
Update history:
- 6:08 PM – The patch notes for hotfix 6.3.0.4 have just been released. You can find them further down in the article.
- Stadia was also taken offline with this update. This means that it is no longer possible to set up Cross Save from Destiny 2 with a Stadia account. Destiny 2 Stadia players who had issues setting up Cross Save can contact Bungie.
- Hotfix 6.3.0.4 has started rolling out on all platforms and regions. On PC, the download is just under 100 MB.
- 5:45 PM – The servers for Destiny 2 have just gone offline.
- 5:30 PM – 15 minutes left until maintenance.
Maintenance on January 18 – All Times and Server Downtime
These times are important today: As always, today the effective inaccessibility of the servers should only last 15 minutes (via bungie.net). The time when you can’t play will remain very short.
- At 5:00 PM German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
- From 5:45 PM, the servers will go offline, and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- Around 6:00 PM, the servers are expected to come back online, and update 6.3.0.4 will be rolled out for all platforms. After the download, you can log back into the game.
- The ongoing background maintenance will officially end at 7:00 PM if everything goes smoothly.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may not be functioning correctly for a while after the update.
Note for all Stadia users: On January 18, 2023, Stadia will be shut down, and players will lose access to their Destiny 2 characters. If you want to avoid this, you must set up Cross Save on another platform by this date. Bungie has ensured that players can use their characters on linked platforms even after Stadia is closed.
What Changes with Hotfix 6.3.0.4 in Season 19
This is what the hotfix brings today: After hotfix 6.3.0.4, some issues with the loot shooter may disappear. MyMMO lists here some of the issues Bungie is already aware of and those our readers have pointed out:
- Players may not be able to crouch after receiving the first scanner buff in the exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield.”
- Progress in the exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” may not always be triggered. Players may then not be able to turn in the scanner buff and have to start over.
- Console players are sometimes invisible or cannot see their weapon.
- Player name changes are not adjustable via bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to adjust their player names multiple times instead of just once.
- The exotic dungeon bow “Hierarchy of Claims” does not correctly penetrate Hydra or Phalanx shields when combined with the artifact armor mod “Piercing Bowstring”.
If you notice any other issues in the game, the recommendation is to report them directly via the official Bungie Help forum to alert the developers. Alternatively, you can leave us a comment if you are aware of any other bugs in the game.
