Destiny 2: Server Down for Hotfix 6.2.5 on 10/18 – All Times and Information

The last update in Destiny 2 contained a peculiarity, but did not bring any real bug fixes to the game. Guardians hope that Bungie will correct some issues in the game with today’s hotfix 6.2.5 on 18.10. What you need to know today: Bungie is planning a new update before the Halloween event 2022 “Festival of the Lost” starts in Destiny 2. This means Guardians will need to briefly interrupt their game today for hotfix 6.2.5 in Season 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia.

This time, however, it should not be a patch that confuses the Guardians to the max and makes them eager for a new secret that does not actually exist.

For those who do not yet know Destiny 2 but are interested in the shooter, we summarize all important information in this video in a snappy 2 minutes.

Maintenance on 18.10. – All times and server downtime

For each update, Bungie announces exact downtime periods when players cannot play. We provide this information in our article with the German times, so you can better plan your gaming evening.

These times are important today:

• At 18:00 German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
• From 18:45 the servers will go offline and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
• Around 19:00 the servers are expected to come back online and update 6.2.5 will be rolled out for all platforms. You can then log back into the game.
• Even though the servers are online, maintenance officially continues until 20:00.

Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be accessible correctly for a while after the update.

What changes with update 6.2.5 in Season 18

This update brings today: On one hand, today’s update will bring the content for the Halloween event 2022 to Destiny 2.

In addition, players are still waiting for urgent updates that will fix annoying bugs in the game. Thus, hope for soon fixes and improvements is on update 6.2.5.

Current list of known issues:

• Loading times in the Tower have still not improved, despite a recent restriction on simultaneous players. Guardians still have to switch to the H.E.L.M. to circumvent this bug, but there are no vendors available there.
• The bells are ringing, as players can sometimes die when transported to the Nightmare Realm in the dungeon “Duality”. 
• The introductory quest “Duality” does not count towards the Grandmaster mode completion of the quest objective. 
• The exotic Hunter armor “Harnisch des Jagdfalken” is disabled. 
• The exotic Warlock helmet “Dämmerungskonzert” does not appear in the collections. 
• The heavy grenade launcher “Meuterei-Ausruf” incorrectly appears in the section for special grenade launchers in the collections. 
• Some players cannot place relics from pirate hideouts in the H.E.L.M. and must use other characters. 
• Turrets and cannons in the security optics encounter of the Ketchcrash activity are excessively bright and can cause excitement in light-sensitive individuals.
• Players joining an ongoing Ketchcrash activity can get stuck behind a locked door until squad members start the boss encounter.
• In Ketchcrash, the health bar for security optics can disappear or show inaccurate health values if too quickly damaged.
• Players can be blocked from season progression if they return to orbit too quickly.
• During expeditions, brawlers will despawn if not defeated, even though the cargo is 100% complete.
• Player name changes are still not customizable via bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to adjust their username multiple times instead of just once.
