Season 2 of Destiny 2 comes packed with new items. Here we show you some weapons, armor pieces, shaders, ghosts, ships, sparrows, and an emote!
At TwitchCon, Bungie finally talked about the seasons in Destiny 2. In the first year of the MMO shooter, there will be a total of four seasons, each bringing significant changes. In addition to balance adjustments and a clan progress reset, new gameplay content, events, new PvP maps, new weapons and armor pieces, and some revisions of existing systems will be introduced.
When Season 2 will start is still unknown. However, the developers have broadly revealed which content players can look forward to.
During the livestream, they showcased some items that Season 2 will introduce.
Items from Season 2
In Season 2, the “The Dawning” event returns – this is the winter event that was celebrated in Destiny 1 in December 2016. This event brings a complete, exclusive armor set for each Guardian class: Design-wise, they are reminiscent of the Dawning armor sets from last year, but they are not simple reskins. They are new designs.
The Dawning event is also expected to introduce special weapons. There are no screenshots of these yet.
The Iron Banner will be revamped in Season 2. Lord Saladin will then offer weapons directly for sale. Additionally, you can earn ornaments for Iron Banner gear that change their appearance:
Major changes are also coming to the Faction Rally. In Season 2, it is set to change fundamentally. Among other things, with these new items:
Dead Orbit:
New Monarchy:
Future War Cult:
Faction Weapons:
It is noticeable that the Future War Cult does not bring flashy items, but rather simple and elegant ones.
Here you can see ornaments for the “Trials of the Nine” weapons:
The Shiny Engrams will contain a lot of new items in Season 2, like these:
Ships:
Sparrows:
Ghost Shells:
Additionally, this “Mic Drop” emote is coming:
The Shiny Engrams will also drop new armor pieces, which Bungie has only shown pixelated so far:
Note: These are not all new items coming in Season 2. Bungie just wants to give you a first impression of them.
