Destiny 2 adjusts the power level every season, so players have the motivation to prepare for higher activities like a new raid or dungeons. A random find now provides insight into what power level you might expect in Witch Queen. We at MeinMMO will show you what’s going on.
What is the power level? The power level is your level, which can be measured by the strength of your weapons and armor. So if you have a complete set of weapons and armor with a power level of 1320, your Guardian will have an overall value of 1320.
If you infuse or equip another piece of gear that has a lower or higher value, your overall rating varies positively or negatively. The higher your level, the more damage you can deal and the less damage you take.
Masks leak possible power cap for Witch Queen
You may have noticed this as well: If you look closely, you’ll see that the new Masked Ball cap from the Festival of the Lost has a different power limit declared than all other known armors that can be earned.
This power cap is set at 1710 and shows how high Destiny 2 could potentially go with the new expansion “The Witch Queen.” However, this is just speculation; Bungie could change or discard this at any time.
What’s so special about it? If you take a closer look at the new possible power cap, it becomes clear that hard grinding awaits you. Whether Bungie grants you access to higher armor through the new story is unknown.
However, it seems more likely that you’ll obtain new gear through the new quests that could at least bring you closer to the power cap.
How was it in Shadowkeep and Beyond Light? When transitioning to the new major DLC for Destiny 2, there was also a difference between both power values. In the last season of Shadowkeep, the limit was 1060, and the new value introduced in “Beyond Light” was 1260.
The seasonal power limit of the current season is 1330, which could be replaced by the new power limit of 1710.
Every Guardian playing Destiny 2 knows how annoying the grind for individual power levels can be. Players have long taken up the matter with Bungie (via Bungie.net). However, we should not judge too quickly. Only time will tell what will come true and what will not.
