Players discovered a potential new Exotic in the reveal trailer for Season 10 of Destiny 2. Now, the theory has been confirmed: the 3rd Exotic weapon from the Season of Worthy has been leaked. What kind of weapon will it be? And what can it do?
This is the Exotic weapon in question: In the trailer for the Season of Worthy, keen Guardians spotted an unusual weapon. This gun, which was only seen briefly, has since led to speculation that it could be a new weapon Exotic for Season 10.
It was assumed that it is a Heavy weapon, probably a machine gun. Additionally, the community quickly realized: Hey, we know that weapon from somewhere. And indeed, a nearly identical weapon was used by the famous Cabal Strike boss “Valus Ta’aurc” from Destiny 1.
Now, the fans’ theory has been confirmed. It is indeed a new Exotic. A fresh leak has now revealed numerous additional details about this new weapon.
Where is the information from? The information comes from the well-known and respected data miner Ginsor, who extracted it from the data of Destiny 2 – apparently after the new hotfix 2.8.0.1.
Ginsor enjoys an excellent reputation in the community and is regarded as very reliable. Nevertheless, you should take the information with caution for now. Even though it is highly likely that these details are correct, they have not been officially confirmed yet.
What kind of weapon will the new Exotic be? The new weapon Exotic will, as suspected, be a heavy machine gun for the power weapon slot. This MG is named “Heir Apparent”. What element it possesses is still unclear.

What exactly can the Heir Apparent do? The new Exotic fires at 900 RPM – so it is comparable to the legendary top weapon 21% Delirium.
It holds 115 rounds in the magazine and an additional 50 in reserves. The two special perks are called Heavy Slug Thrower and Armor of the Colossus.
- With Heavy Slug Thrower, the weapon must spin up with its 4 rotating barrels and can only be fired when fully spun up. To spin it up, you must hold down the trigger.
- Armor of the Colossus grants a Arc overshield protection when the weapon spins up at full health of the shooter.
However, how fast the spin-up time is and how effectively the Arc shield protects you cannot currently be determined.

How and when will this new Exotic come into play? Ginsor does not know. In his tweet, he stated: “Don’t ask me how and when.” However, it is strongly assumed that this new Exotic weapon will be introduced during the course of Season 10.
What about a Masterwork Catalyst? Yes, there will also be a Masterwork Catalyst for the Heir Apparent. However, Ginsor has not yet been able to ascertain how to obtain it or what it can do in detail.
