The Destiny community is famous for seeking its own challenges once all challenges posed by the game have been mastered. A team in Destiny 2 has now managed to take down the boss of the Leviathan raid sector in record time.
-Player is making headlines again: The player Gladd is well-known in the Destiny community for his exceptional achievements. He has, for example, managed with the Redeem clan to be the first team globally to conquer the “Leviathan” raid sector.
Furthermore, Gladd has achieved a feat with a mixed team by sending the final boss of the new raid sector to the virtual afterlife in just 6 seconds.
The Escalation Protocol also couldn’t withstand his record hunt for long. Together with YouTuber Gigz and FleshCrunch, Gladd successfully cracked the entire new PvE event in what is probably the world’s first three-man squad – still in its original form (before the nerf).

Recently, he has also accomplished another feat. Once again, Val Ca’our had to suffer from the Leviathan.
Fastest Boss Kill in Destiny’s History
Boss kill in less than one second: Gladd and his friends have recently managed to defeat the boss of the Leviathan raid sector in new record time. After the damage phase began, the team needed less than one second to bring the Cabal leader to his knees.

After only 0.7 seconds, Val Ca’our’s fate was already sealed. According to Gladd, this represents the fastest boss kill in the entire Destiny series’ history.
The strategy: To disable Val Ca’our’s shield, three orbs are needed, which must be thrown into the hands of Emperor Calus. The team used a trick with which it is apparently possible to duplicate the glowing orbs or intercept and reuse them.
If a player perfectly positions himself on Calus after he ascends during the battle, the other players throw the orbs as usual at Calus. Although the orbs are registered as having been received by Calus, they are actually intercepted by the Guardian standing on it. This Guardian then throws two orbs back to the teammates and uses the third one himself accordingly.
This way, it is possible to accumulate three orbs. Once Calus then disables the final boss’s shield, the team can use the three orbs to deal massive damage to Val Ca’our.
The boss is initially attacked by a Sunbreaker Titan with a melee Hammer Strike as soon as the overshield disappears. This increases the subsequent damage output. Then, the three orbs are thrown at the Cabal leader immediately. At the same time, two Hunters deal additional massive damage with a combination of Golden Gun and the Helm of Saint-14.
The attacks must occur simultaneously. This prevents the boss from becoming immune again. He kneels on the ground in less than a second without any health.

What do you think? Does exploiting the game mechanics diminish this achievement for you? Or do you still consider it noteworthy?
