After weeks of guessing and trying out various strategies, Guardians have finally mastered all challenges of the quest “The Zero Hour” in Destiny 2. However, it seems that very few players are satisfied with the reward, the ship Altmetal CF-717-91.
What is it about? The new quest “The Zero Hour” came to Destiny 2 a few weeks ago and offered players some challenges. Not only did they have to complete the time-critical quest on normal difficulty for the weapon Perfected Outbreak, but in the heroic version of the mission, players could also earn the Exotic Catalyst.
In addition, there was another exotic quest where various configurations had to be solved. After completing the Void and Arc configurations, Guardians could finally finish the Solar configuration last week. For this, they were rewarded with an exotic ship.
What is wrong with the ship? Players receive the exotic ship SCRAP CF-717-91 through the quest, literally translating to Altmetal CF-717-91. The name says it all, as the ship is literally a pile of space junk.
Additionally, some players had hoped for the return of a popular ship from Destiny 1: Since the Perfected Outbreak is already an updated version of the SIVA weapon Outbreak Prime, players were hoping for the ship Nanophoenix.
Nanophoenix was available in Destiny 1 in the raid Wrath of the Machine.
What do the players say? In the Destiny subreddit, players seem to feel either total disdain or a strange attraction to Altmetal CF-717-91. While some reject the design of the ship, others say they love the “little ugly thing”.
Even in our comments on MeinMMO, Guardians don’t seem too excited.
One reader, Mahagosh, humorously asked: “Which side is front and which is back on this ship?”
Marki Wolle states: “I would say that the ship is only for collectors and belongs in the vault. Because looking at it makes one feel nauseous. At least it doesn’t seem to be a reskin.”
CandyAndyDE writes: “Man, the spaceship is so ugly that any junk shredder would break down. In Destiny 1 there were such beautiful ships, and they have to torture us with such a heap of junk.”
